I've seen my Jack jump in the air and catch a bird out of the air. Two seconds, dead and he tosses it. Many times. They are great hunters! And Jerks, they are jerks. And they don't slow down until they are like 13 years old. It's like they are on crack or something. Mine is 14 right now and I think the main reason he slowed down was his eyes. Oh, and I've seen him jump over and clear my couch, major jumper. Butt he's such a good boy, he does love his momma so much. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ He would (and had tried) to take on Rottweilers, dobermans, shepherd, you name it. Thankfully they were well behaved dogs and I learned it's only because he's jealous.

My jack was so different. She was calm in the house. She loved the childs baby swing at the park. She wouldn't snap at people, but she wouldn't let strangers pet her.

My little female pit wasn't 50lbs she was 63 pounds and pure muscle. She was the sweetest girl in the world but she was terrified of other dogs and would attack them if they came too close to her. One time my neighbor let their jack Russel terrier out without a leash and my dog almost killed it but I took her mouth off it's neck and she let go. Pit bulls are misunderstood and should be kept alone if they carry that defensive trait like my baby girl did. My dog never had a problem with our cats but she absolutely hated other dogs or other large animals. My aunt has horses and my dog wanted to tear them apart so I had to keep her with me so she would relax. I don't think it's a matter of aggression but more of defensive behavior. She thought the horses posed a threat and she wanted to stop the threat , I don't think that's aggressive behavior

The most aggressive dog I ever knew was a chihuahua. Ebony Pearl (yep) was a pure black chihuahua and the true Spawn of Satan. She would lurk under sofa pillows, or over the back of the sofa, and once you were in the act of sitting down and your face was close enough, come hurtling out, screaming at the top of her lungs, and try to sink her fangs in your face. She actually caught a few arms and shoulders. Her victim would be yelling with a small black imp attached to their body, still madly shrilling away through closed jaws, and her owner would stand there helplessly crying “Don’t hurt Ebony Pearl!” Chance would be a fine thing. People finally wised up and refused to sit on the sofa and started poking at the pillows on chairs, then hopping frantically backward, just in case the Spawn had changed tactics. Her owner would gaily laugh and trill “Oh, she’s just _playing_ !” Playing, my sweet Aunt Fanny. That dog wanted blood and entrails. The fresher and hotter the better. She met an early end at the tires of a car she was chasing, a fate I wouldn’t wish on any dog, but sofas became a lot safer place to sit.

My little guy is 2 and he's a lap dog when we are inside. He just curls up in my lap and goes to sleep but that because he goes everywhere with me, doing farm work and chasing his ball. Most loyal, loving dog ever.

Im sitting here looking at all you judgemental mfs but yall dont clearly realize that if the dog is vicious or aggressive its because the owner makes it that way i have five pitbulls and i trust them with my life ive been around them since i could learn to walk so if yall come at me sideways i got a big middle finger for all of you so before you judge do youre research sit and spin and always remember ban stupid owners not good dogs

There is NOTHING WRONG with having the tail docked. If the Pembroke you are looking to get does not have its tail docked, DO NOT GET IT. This whole notion was started with the animal rights extremists like PETA, etc.

One more jack russel fact: Did you know that some jack russels can have a color to their fur that the vet calls blue? It isn't actually fully blue but it is more of a dark gray color with a blue-ish tint to it and it is rare. I have a jack russel and she has that color to her. Oh and one more thing, some insurance companies won't let you own one because they are known as "viscous" but I don't think they are 😔They are such sweet dogs!

This breed is not family friendly. I don't care how many tests you throw at it. If you bring this type of beast into your home then you are putting yourself and your loved ones in harms way. They weren't bread to be pets. They were were bread to be relentless killing machines without fear or remorse or even regard for their own safety.

My toy poodle does require lots of mental stimulation and regular grooming (once a month by professional groomer and daily by me). She also needs at least one hour per day to be outside, running and be very active.

I have always wanted a big purebred standard poodle. My friend is an avid Schnauzer lover, rescuer and will spend THOUSANDS on her own. She knew how much I wanted a poodle and she felt I would give him a good home. A lady had to be put in a nursing home and wanted a good home for her black, 6yr old Standard. I left the very day I was told about him and he’s been with me on my 12 acre horse farm for 4-5 months now. I can’t quit looking at him! He never wants to leave my side. In the house, he is so chill. Outside he barks like the king he is, shouting orders at deer and other woodland creatures. He LOVES people and treats my 2 tiny dogs so gently and attentively. As far as cost, I’m way ahead of the game because she knew I would have him as long as I was alive and let me have him for free. He eats well, rests well and adjusted very quickly. I did notice a slight depression the first few days, but it passed quickly as we have about an acre and a half in chain link fence for him and his Blue Heeler brother who showed him the ropes. Two lovely sentries keeping the yard safe. I am beyond BLESSED to share life with him!

Not all Aussie shed profoundly. My Aussie sheds spring and fall a lot but nothing like my Sheltie. y Aussie goes out every 2-3 hours a day until it gets dark, and she goes out from 1 hour to maybe 10 mins. but when she is in, she is a couch potato and inside at times she will play rough with my Maltese that is also plays rough. she is now 2 years old. and at times she can be so manipulative. But most of the time she is quite in the house. I have had a old time scotch collie, a sheltie and collie(Lassie Type) but my Aussie does not shed as much as any of them and takes a little longer time in remembering what she learned. But they do make great dogs but not for first time dog owners. I guess any Hearding dog is NOT for First Time Dog Owners.

i have a JRT in the Philippines. She is nothing like the video. She is very loving and caring and guarding. She lets me know when someone is at the gate. Always steals my pillow when I get off the bed, very loving small dog. Also, when it is bedtime, she needs to lie against me for comfort at night.

Two days ago we lost our beloved JRT Benji. He was run over and required extensive surgery. We lost him after he was trying to recover post surgery. He bought nothing but love and joy to our hearts in the 6 yrs we had him. It true what they say the dog chooses you and will be your companion and protect and love you for the rest of its days. To the uttermost ends of the earth my Benji Boy. I will miss you for the rest of my days. 💔 🐕

Corgis can be unpredictable around other dogs. You can never take it as a given that they won't randomly lash out at another dog when they get annoyed or frustrated, unless it's a sibling dog that they're 100% familiar with. This seems to be even more true if the dog is smaller than they are. They tend to do better socially with larger dogs. Every experienced corgi owner knows this, but the community doesn't like to highlight it. As the video somewhat indicates, this is probably not a dog for the first time dog owner.

I do have to say, they do have a lot of energy to burn off, but if you can control it, then you will be fine. I work with dogs on a daily basis caring and training them. If you train your dog to have an off switch, and train them off leash, you can control what they act like. Inside, they stay calm, and outside, they can run around. I don’t kennel train dogs because if you put the time and effort into training them properly, they won’t need one.
