I was a Aluminum Siding Installer and Vinyl Installer my whole working life . Very good advice we worked with Wallboards mostly .16 ft 20 and 24 and also stretch planks . scaffolding the walls,In my 70s now believe it or not I enjoyed the work .My body is trash now but I was my own boss, also did roofing repairs.
Thanks for the video, you should keep the handle lock lever in the open position during operation. This will allow you to stand further away from the sander and use the wheels to guide your work (kinda like the older vacuum cleaners) - you will notice that this is a more ergonomic position and makes pushing/pulling/turning easier. Very dangerous getting up on my roof to copper tape to prevent moss growing there due to wet Oregon weather. I have had to watch several safety videos and several of them did not mention the needed the tool the Ladder Helper. Its 40 bucks for the right tool to prevent ladder from crushing the gutter. Also other poor videos did not mention as you did ithe ladder must extend at least twp hungs above roof line. Thanks for doing right. It helps to be physically fit like this guy is cause you can even hear him breathing during the video this is labor intensive.
WOW! I know preparation is 90% of a painting job. However, i had no idea it was this complicated. Now I know why spray painting a kitchen was a time-saver but a wallet buster. Well worth every penny if done right. You fellas have all the angles covered. BRAVO.
What do you think of the OBS 18 sanders? Been looking at doing my deck and found a cheaper one on facebook. Is there a best place to get the pads and supplies for these units? TY
5" disc sander with a 7" resin sanding disc was the perfect tool to prep my old siding. For the 7" resin discs, the hercules brand at HF where better and cheaper than the diablo brand.
A pro would have used a conventional system , not a airles sprayer . a pro wouldn't have the airles sprayer in the same room that he's spraying in. a pro wouldn't use plastic to mask the cabinet's as any additional coats of paint will cause the dried paint to flake off the plastic and land on the wet paint because of the lack of pressure controle frome using a airles.
The plastic since the 3m white doesn’t flake the machine in the room with so much air flow he won’t have any dust…the diaphragm pump is fine I run a AAA but this isn’t a high end cabinet
From someone that stains or coats 75-100 decks per summer, this is likely the most accurate video out there. The only thing we do is get permission to throw the break back on when it trips ourselves. The home depot sanders are great but as you mentioned they throw the breaker so often. Great job pal!
