I’m hoping to look at a 2018 tl6 this week. Looks like the one for me. Any pointers to look for? First time buyer and operator here. Other than renting one a couple times.

I don’t remember the bolt dimensions you can take the little protective caps out and match the threads on them in the hardware store. I used 2x2x1/4 square tubing

I had never operated a track loader but worked around a skid steer from time to time. Honestly I thought they were a bit of a toy. Then a couple of years ago I brought a TL12V2. I've done a lot of work in it now and it is no toy! Its a fucken earth moving weapon moving more dirt than my Volvo EC220 in some situations. It would have cut that job in a heart beat no digger required. Fuck I would have picked him up and moved him the fuck out of my way! It has grown my business as I use it far more than I thought I would. I just didn't expect it to push like it does, well that is until some dirty bastard takes a piss behind me. Then its fucked and wont push fuck all. When it fucks off over the side of a fucken big hill top in the wet as it has a couple of times I've found with gravity assist it travels much much faster than 11kph and the stick does fuck all to help, its a big clean up operation getting all the shit out of the cab afterwards but other than that top machine. Watching this video as I consider getting a smaller version.

Nice! Good stuff to know! I have that exact same winch (the new 12k one you got). It’s suddenly just clicking when I push the remote controller. Trying to sort that out when I came across your video. Do you reckon Smittybilt would give me grief about sending any replacement parts for free, if I obtained the winch when I bought the vehicle it was already on? So, I’m not the original owner/buyer. And therefore, I have no proof of purchase etc. Anyways…thanks for posting the video.

I've already broken my tip at the base but it's probably more my fault. I got to where I was changing angles mid cut because it wouldn't "dig" anymore. They're pine stumps and purely green. Have you found drier stumps are easier?
@getafterit3901
@getafterit3901 Год назад
I broke several when I was first learning to use it .. the key is to not change angles after the bit is seated in the wood and reverse it out as you pick up … I have found species and age to be the ultimate factor in difficulty… rotten stumps are very hard to get a bite in

Thanks for sharing; I just placed an order for an MTL stump auger. I really appreciated your point about it being easier on the machine and less of a big chaotic mess during operation. I'm also saving a few thousand bucks by pairing it with my auger drive that I already need rather than buying an entirely separate attachment.

I don’t have any experience with the new bobcats.. I had a 2014 T550 with the first run of Doosan engines and it cost me a lot of money in repairs the one year I owned it. Takeuchi has earned its solid reputation and I have had 0 issues.

It works with a mini skid steer I have a Toro Dingo and I built a stump planer for it but the secret of it is make sure it's no longer than 12 in. If it's too long you can't put the down pressure on. Mine works perfect
