Your video popped up on my feed and happy to see your update! To be honest, I like watching videos from people having *fun* with their stuff and then sharing it. Could be a live improv. session or something a bit more planned, perhaps focusing on your current favourite bit of gear or developing an idea. That would be fun to watch. I’ll keep an eye out for ya. Glad to see ya. Cheers.
It's just not the same as the TB-303/TB-03 real sound and mode if you do it this way. Really you should program it directly on the instrument's built in sequencer. Otherwise you're really missing on the real experience and the hands-on of it. It's pointless even having the hardware in the first place if that's they way you primarily want to use it.
I've been having issues with this for so long and this is the first tutorial I found that helped me fix my problem. Even 3 years later this is still so relevant. Thank you
probably Av ago tonight cheers for that .i dont understand you only have 473 likes ...anyway ;;ll.,;';.,.;computers are a headache at the best of times
Dude this is an amazing video. I discovered it by accident, looking for something completely different, and realized that I could actually use Electribe's Grain Shifter Master effect, instead of passing it through the VST DAW in Ableton just for that. Subbed
Sort of. I still prepare my stems the same way but now okay with just hardware... Deluge and an MPC Live 2 for stem playback which has replaced Ableton and the laptop
@@rezzonator oh interesting how come no ableton? Did u find it complicated the two decks a and b plus all the tracks to juggle? I'm gonna do the same / similar. Also that iPad touch app sucks they don't make it anymore liked thay
@@rezzonator I really like the deck a deck b idea vs 8 tracks and u just go from top down vs zigzag / plus hard to do transition with just 8 tracks no deck a or b I mesn
You’ve got a ground loop from multiple usb connections is my guess. I use the iDefender from iFi to solve that. Happens when you connect multiple USB devices that also have audio cable connections to each other creating multiple grounding points.
Finally, someone who is as chaotic as me when it comes to understanding this stuff. I’ve been watching tons of slick patchbay tutorials and whilst kind of getting it hasn’t been working for me. Now I understand the inputs/outputs! I was reading it as out to out on the front as well as in to in on the front, now I realise all the diagrams I’ve been looking at quite clearly show it as in to out at the back before you start cabling. Mayor difference! So hopefully, later today I can sort it all after staring blankly at my gear for weeks.
are you able to write a drum part on the Deluge, and them turn it into an external midi track to control that TR-8S you have up there? I want to program a song on drums, but use my TR-6S as the sounds.. because Roland has no plan to make a song mode... is that possible to just use it for the drum sounds, but have the pattern playing from the Deluge?
Good to see you on RU-vid again. Sounding excellent! I like the new setup. I’ve just completed a new Deluge track I’ll send over when I’ve done the video… Something different from me 😉
I don't know how you figured all of this out, but thanks for sharing the knowledge! I watched Part 4 first, and I'm glad because it gave me perspective to understand the details better that you did before to set it all up. Are you on Push 3 yet, and is this all working okay upon transferring it over for Standalone mode?
I love it too he is not showing when you change the individual output pots you create totally new sounds together with the Distortion .😅 if you put everything maximum volume there is nothing special on .
I've just spent an awesome 30 minutes listening to you figure this epic tune out. Thank you man. Looking forward to trying parts of this out using mpc beats and studio one. Gonna check out your other video too. Dont stop enjoying!
For people that are here from the future: Get synthtribe from the behringer site. Plug your usb from computer to model d, disable midi switches in the general settings and change the channel to whatever you like. Also you note priority etc and firmware updates can be done like this
Thanks, now I get it, so many times I fiddled with those filter knobs/faders and nothing happened, I had no idea what they were meant to do or how to use them! But my little Rolands have additional controls in the filter section labelled "LFO" and "Key Follow"/"KYBD". I think I understand the latter from reading the manuals, but what is the LFO fader supposed to do?
The LFO fader is likely there to assign the LFO to control the filter cutoff. Not sure without seeing the actual synth controls but it will be something like that.
It’s great to see you here again. I’m sorry to hear you’ve been going through a bad spell and hope you come through the other side 👍🏻. Great jam 👏🏻 It’d be great to see the MPC in more detail and how you’ve set it up and use it 😀
@rezzonator welcome back. glad you are still with us. without going too personal on the internet: I also have reachest the lowest point a few years ago. one of the two constants that save me from drowning is: music! listening to it with good company. making it, most of all. and sporadically playing it live. creative endavors are what keep me alive. I never cared of others opinion or I would have stopped in hte 90s. I don't owe anything creative to no one but myself. the rest is gravy and really welcome but gravy nonetheless. going to therapy and making music. one step at the time. publish if and when you feel like it. good luck mate.
Yeah I bloody love the MPC. I love the fact you can just pick it up and instantly make some music and it feels like playing an instrument. Think I've used it every day since I got it last year! And the plugins on it are awesome as well. Think that machine got me through my dark times (as well as a shit load of medication!)
@@rezzonator heres a cool few tricks 😜 1 Try layering 4 samples of random stuff, reverse some of them, fx etc, then make sure warped, flatten pad, convert into key group add filter fx and you made your own synth🤣 2 if you keep your finger on xy pad but change screen into say mute the xy still works as long as finger on screen 😁 3 in list edit ..press record but not play...and you can step sequence chords.. 4 midi map controller...so get say launch pad, midi mapping screen (last on) n map touch fx on off n play touch fx live...its awesome fun🤣 but you can map anything....reverse sample on a button etc...time consuming but so much fun after🙌
💗aww we go through these times.... I'm getting through that feeling too.... Hardware Jams challenge has helped (started at beginning again) Ooo you got mpc!! Welcome to the club😉🙌 anything you need to know ...
Nice one Rezz glad you are feeling better, just do stuff you enjoy would be my advice, and have fun. Fwiw in Chester we have a little electronic collective called only human and we put nights on a few times a year, its really supportive. Peace from bleepfakes
