On my channel you can find the full archive of Search for the Slop films & series, Megavalanche + Mountain of Hell race videos, road trip and travel films. As well as a full archive of the Dudes of Hazzard videos and race footage from world cups and various other events, plenty Raw videos of various different pro MTB riders from around Europe
The series and films I make are generally higher quality /longer to create works rather than the quickly bashed out vlog style. Releases will come in bunches. Could be once a week for a few months and then none for a month but rest assured fresh action will always return so sling a subscribe to always see the new adventures!
What were you telling those guys during the forest stretch?oh and and the ledges on some parts were insane. I'd fall off the one at sharp turn into the trees with the s curves.
Thanks!! Yeh it's a reallly good spot for riding. So so many trails and proper diversity in different parts of the island and for all being so close together. Highly recommended for a trip..
Congratulations on the victory! I've been following you for over a year now and also saw your 2023 run. I have a question: Is the path (from start to finish) accessible by non-cyclists or cycling enthusiasts who want to practice outside the event period? Is it maintained year-round, or is it prepared only before the event each year?
Great to watch! It's so hard in a short video to show much of a monster day 3 actually is and how many hours you are out for. To the point that you have already forgotten how good the first 2 stages are by the time you get to the start of stage 3! 🤣 Looking forward to day 4.
Thanks!! Haha yeh condensing the massive days down and trying to convey how long they are is tricky! I kept forgetting about parts of the big mission inbetween too so I think it was even longer than I had thought haha!
@LiamMoynihan haha, for sure! You could do a video about the Transition between stages 2 and 3 with how long it takes and what you have to do to get there 🤣
@@jasongidney9660 haha yeh it's quite the venture.. Even the couple of descents and bits of trails ridden on that transit over are pretty cool by themselves too
i wonder two things. who are these humans who build a track that is really dangerous, not only difficult and why do you fancy to ride it. great video, good feeling for madeira, had no idea how it looks. and i love it that you are a scotsman, was quite a few times in scotland and if i were younger would to all the ways, west highland, east highland, rob roy, great glen etc. give my love to scotland, greetings from swiss woman living in germany
Ahh thanks! Yeh I'm a big fan of home in the Highlands. I think quite a few of the paths we rode on this day are old walking paths and a lot were used to access the areas of the idsland where it rains a lot and move the water to the areas close to the population and where the ground is good for growing food. So often they run beside little waterways or are to access the initial water ways! For riding again we used them partly for access to the tracks which are really good to ride ( on this day the 4 stages were fantastic) but also becuase its a really nice way to see around the island or anyplace. Much quicker and more enjoyable than walking! Thanks again!!
Ahh I’m not actually sure about that. There are definitely some areas which bikes aren’t usually allowed and that one is a bit strange to access so could well be the case!
Great videos, trails look amazing! Love the contrast between the nice articulate overlaid commentary versus the live footage “ya C@nt!” Tremendous!! 👊🏻❤️
even without kilians flat you would have been on the podium. insane run.. one time kilian sad on his video that he had seen four riders who might have been rivals, like lthe one who had just won la reunion, then one of the damians. and in la reunion damian desbrosses hat a problem with his bike. good run, good video.
Happy with the voice over, love to hear a pro's take on things. So after looking at your riding style, speed etc the only comparison I can make between my riding and yours is our on trails use of fine Scottish phrases 🤣🤣
Ahh thanks Alan! Haha yeh some particular Scottish phrases were used a lot 😂 had to quieten a few of them down too sounds more aggressive in a Scottish accent than in others hahaha. Real fun days though and day 3 was especially a treat!
Great riding again! When I saw the high specs AND the wet conditions of trail 3, 4 and 5 I was realy afraid of these stages. The uphill was exhausting, the condition so wet... But once on the track it felt not as bad as I feared it would be. Stage 4 was cool and very exhausting. Stage 5 on day 2 was in ny opinion the most difficult Stage of all days (beside stage 1 day 1) because of how steep and exposed it was...
Thanks! Yeh it was pretty treacherous at times on that day. Stage 5 like you say was amazing but really hard going sore on the whole body while being fast and sketchy haha. Had it all!! Fun big days out on the bikes!!
@@LiamMoynihan 😅 Descending an unpaved mountain at a speed of 60 kilometers and with many turns is really not a heroic act, but rather a mad science 😂 I've watched a lot of your races, you are a hero 👍❤
Any key pieces of info or chat wanted in the voice over? Bikesetup? How it felt to ride? general chat? Suggestions welcome! Also day 3 coming up was a TREAT!!
Aww definitely - much harder big days here compared to Mega but you get an insane amount of riding done on amazing trails, definitely worth seeing if you can get a few friends to go too! There is a bit of suffering involved on the massive days but so so worth it!! See you at the Mega
Thanks!! I’ll try and put a few bits of chat of things I found useful in the next days videos to make it handy for anyone planning it in future too. Cheeeeeers!
