I think 2 of the 4 midfielders Have to be benched unfortunately it’s 2 of Kdb, foden, b silva or Gundogan. Foden is not a winger and we see he is wasted out wide for England and in the odd game for city. The wingers need to be fast and dynamic providing crosses for haaland so it’s doku and savio for me maybe even Bobb eventually when he grows. If you think Kdb and foden won’t track back enough and balance the midfield then you play just 1 of them as a 10 and put b silva or Gundogan alongside rodri. Try and get all these midfielders in the team and it’s going to be lacking dynamism and will be slower and more boring and we all watch football to be entertained
17:39 you do know that offensive shape & defensive shape are not always the same right. I realised why we tend to loose the ball in transition a lot that’s because of us having the ball 80% of the game. It’s so hard to go into defence mode when you have the ball and your attacking majority of the game. Hence why you don’t really see a lot of low block teams or teams that have less % of the ball concede through transition.
Yes please continue to do these Monthly Review videos!!! I think everything you did in this video had value and I would definitely like to see these same segments in future reviews! Also I love the Rico player of the month pick, I hope he continues to improve and grow, and continues to keep Pep's trust and start! Maybe one idea for future videos, you could keep a personal record of your ratings for each player and go over if that player is improving month to month and sort of track each players progress throughout the year!
Honestly, letting teams sit while we find a way around or through them is a risky tactic Our problem is not defence Our problem is our attacking approach and exactly one man lacking that calm control in midfield We need Gundogan We won't get hit on the break that often if Gundo makes his way into the starting 11
U have to understand that this season we gonna play close to 82 games 😬 so ther needs some management to avoid clustered injuries early on, we already missing both bobb ,Kovavic ,Rodri and there is gonna probably more injuries coming so im guessing we _saving the best for last_ .

Kovacic spent the pre-season studying defensive positioning to get rid of his attacking instincts while playing DM. It's not that he got used to the positioning by just training, is that he put a ton of work beyond training to get used to it.
Phil is not a winger!!! Phil is the best player in the league playing central. Play him behind Haaland, and KDB takes Rico position. We all know Rodri will reclaim Kova's spot.

The issue is him and KDB play in the same position, until KDB moves on Foden won’t be able to play his best position, it’s annoying because I want to see both of them play but I prefer savinho on the right wing.
What we need to do is realise there's more to a successful team than who gets picked 1st. What Pep needs to do is start having more faith in his subs. He doesn't use them well. KDB will pick up knocks Bernado will tire Rico will have blips We will get game overload Rodri will pick up yellows and Reds Foden will up his game Sav will get marked out more There is plenty of scope for OUR SQUAD to be used.

Pep is dynamic....no one saw this masterstroke fluid formation and playing structure. It means that the style and fluidity will be designed by the playing personnel. All other managers rely on fixed systems, Pep creates multiple layers and systems, within a defined system, which leads to the inability for managers and opposing players to fix their playing stance
