I don't often speak in absolutes, but I will this time - you'll love it and you won't regret it one bit! Let me know what you end up getting on my IG @M_CHI3F
Haha well I’m glad to hear that (the respect bit) but sorry to disappoint on the frequency of uploads front. As someone that has an active day job and has fun with video creation here on RU-vid (cars, travel, watches) it’s difficult to be able to script, shoot, edit, score, refine, and publish content on so many topics. I’m working on finding more hours in the day though so no worries 😄👍
The production and transit wait is definitely excruciating. My 2024 M4 Comp arrived at the port of Baltimore on Saturday and I'm hoping to take delivery by the end of the week as my dealer is only about 90 mins away.
@@JamesBachiciChannel Brooklyn Gray/Tartufo. Only options I didn't get were the CF exterior, CF bucket seats, ceramic brakes, and M drive professional.
@@JamesBachiciChannel So there were some delays, but I finally took delivery of my M4 a couple days ago and OMG, this car is a pure demon! I can't believe how absurdly powerful it is. The wait was well worth it.
i'm glad i found your video, thanks for this! imo this looks way better and is a much cheaper option. sounds like from your response to another comment that it's been holding up well. i guess even if they do need to be replaced, it's not like it's a huge deal to do again :)
Glad it was helpful! And yes, like you said, even if it needs replacing you're going to be spending less than $5 (if you still have some of the original touch-up paint) which is great!
love to hear this my last fun car was a pretty heavily modded n55 335i, i got really bored of it after 3 years. Now I have an Austin yellow f80 being delivered soon and I love to hear that you're still excited to drive it a year later. This is probably the coolest and most expensive car I care to own and really looking forward to being able to drive it.
Dear James, thank you so much for your extraordinary and great review. I viewed it several times and now in winter time it helps me while I have to wait for the right temperatures to drive my M3 CS again. Mine has 4500 km on it, and I bought it with 4300km 😅, so I have to drive it a bit more to be able to talk about it in detail, like you.😉 But so far I fully agree with your review.👍🏼 It is definitively a very special car and I feel it every time I am sitting in it or watching at it. It has a very special spirit. Great that you mentioned the extra oil pump and circle.✨ BTW: Mine has never seen rain before and I am still in contact with the previous and first owner, which is great in my opinion. If I will sell it, I will do it in the same way to share my passion. What I want to mention: All cars which were produced for the US market came with the sunshades in the back as standard. (my M3 does not have these) And mine has manual adjustable seats which were recommended by the BMW dealer at that time in order to save weight. 😁 I am very happy about this little detail. Also I like the fact that CS stands for my initial ietters.✨ The previous owner did a small video of it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Boz_QB-H3iY.html Enjoy it.☺️ Kind regards from Bavaria 💙🤍
Thanks for the very kind words of support! I'm glad you found the video useful and that you're experiencing a lot of the same sentiments that I described! It also sounds like you take very good care of your F80 CS - good for you! Interesting facts to know that the European models had the option of manually adjustable seats and that they didn't include the rear electric sunshade, I didn't know that! That short clip from the previous owner really shows off the matte paint well, it's a keeper for sure. Hope you have many more miles full of smiles behind the wheel my friend!
@@TravelTwoExplore Oh I don’t care 😄 I made this short after people left comments on the long term review saying they didn’t know their cars had this. Angry ignorant comments don’t bother me 👌
Oh no 🤣 look at it this way, whoever installed the original plate REALLY wanted to make sure it was safe and secure 😅 get a couple more plugs and you know what to do 👍
@oliver.l736 You may want to consider taking it to a body shop then, get a quote, see what they’d charge to fill in the holes, primer, sand, paint and clear coat the bumper 👍
Design preferences and personal tastes are hyper subjective - I don't mind the new designs coming out from BMW. Do I have little niggles with each new model? Absolutely. But with that said, and to your point, the BMW F80 platform was the first BMW that I had zero niggles, complains, issues with - and when the CS build came out, I absolutely had to have it. So to that end, I think you and I have similar tastes! Thanks for watching, and for commenting! Check out my full long term review of my M3 CS if you haven't already ;)
Oh no 😲 sounds like a pain! This DIY method should still work for you, otherwise you’d want to go to a auto shop and get the bumper filled and repainted which of course is a lot more work and costs way more but the overall finish should look better. Either way, good luck 😃👍
Oh you better believe it 😄 this was my first serious video undertaking, so setting the stage, establishing the tone, and priming the viewer for this video was key as I knew I'd be making a Part 2 follow-up, and eventually a Part 3 which was a teaser for my current car - M3 CS 😉
what does the warranty look like on a used 2018? I've been looking at some under 40k miles. you mentioned when the time comes to replace the ceramic breaks-this is 8k or more. Is this out of pocket? How often does it need replacement etc.
That depends on a few factors. You have the option of extending the BMW warranty by getting the car inspected by the dealership, and then purchasing 1-3+ years of coverage and that cost can range. I don't have hard numbers, but you can ask your local BMW dealer what they'd charge. It can range from $2K-8K depending on duration of coverage, year/model/mileage of car, and whatever rates the dealership has. As for brakes, yes, that cost would be out of pocket. Carbon Ceramic rotors have a very long operational lifespan, but again that's dependent on the type of driving you do, frequency, and environment. If you track your Carbon Ceramics and are hard on them, lifespan will obviously be shorter. With average yearly usage they should be good for 70K-90K miles or so. Hope this helps :)
@@JamesBachiciChannel This definitely was helpful, thank you so much for taking the time to explain that. I'll check with the local dealership and see what they offer.
@@JamesBachiciChannel don't ever sell it you will regret it trust me. I plan on rectifying that mistake very soon can't wait to get mine!! That watch is perfection
