Welcome to my channel - I am a professional seaplane pilot, and internationally published aviation photographer. I have flown in the Alaska bush, the Caribbean Islands, and New York City. I hope to inspire others to follow their dreams, by sharing stories from these regions.
Photography has always been a hobby of mine, and my artwork can be seen in galleries around the World, as well as online.
My work has been published internationally, in magazines, galleries, as well as online. I am a one man show, where I film and produce these videos end-to-end. On my social media channels, and website, you can find more info and several podcast interviews.
Can't wait for the new Draco... Incredible plane, incredibly talented builder and designer Mike Patey, the most inspiring pilot and builder of our time. His enthusiasm for aviation makes the world a far better place.
Just build a little transistorized BFO which you can tune to 455 khz (or whatever IF frequency your radio uses), install an on off switch and since it uses microamps to power it, you can piggy back it to a tube to power it since it doesnt load it down.
Thank you very much for the video. I also have experience flying the PC-6. It's an amazing aircraft. I flew in Africa and encountered high crosswinds several times. Landing this plane in a crosswind is challenging. I have a question: I hold an ICAO license. Can I work with this type of aircraft in Alaska, for example?
two skydiver-safety features: the guard on the horizontal stab AND a guard in front of the tailwheel. But it looks easier to drop from the floor hatch.
As a former engineer at AlliedSignal Aerospace/Honeywell, I can say that you roughly have the concept correct but your model of the ring laser gyro is completely wrong. First off, it’s not a ring! The path is either a triangle or a square. Secondly, there are not two laser emitters, there’s only one that goes through a beam splitter. Third, there are not two detectors, there’s only one that senses the interference pattern.
counteracting the rotation of the prop same thing happens when you take off with a free spinning engine of a Dr 1 tripling ..you must fight the must fight the rotation of the engine
Thanks Jake - that will be great ! What I didn't mention in this clip - this edit is just a trailer / teaser, with zero storyline - really just experimenting with some storyline concepts. It was more meant for private pre-view, but I decided to share publicly, for exactly this reason - to hear some feedback of the direction i'm going so far. I'll be up this summer... More to follow ...
