My grandfather told me of easy to make glue the oldtimers used Make thin oatmeal porridge , boil the heck out of it If you don't mind lumps use as is , Or strain the lumps out with a strainer I think you could run it through a blender He said it was good in dry areas , they used it for wallpaper . Used wheat flour when they wanted to take it back off easily
Have you ever thought about using Diamond willow bark ? I've heard its real high in tannin . No ear protection, good luck hearing anything when you are 50. Thinning by sanding is not the way to make a skin flexible. Flexing, bending , rubbing and oiling at the same time is.A hide does not need to be thin to be flexible.

I made it this past Friday. I Love Amethyst The Purple Amethyst Stone.
