i always go a half size up in running shoes (size 12) so that’s my “true” size haha I got a size 12 in both the peg 41 and more v5 and they’ve been working wonderfully for me!
Looking forward to this. Should receive my pair early next week. I have the v4 which I only use for recovery runs in the 3~5 mile range and I like it but don't love it. It's just a little too clunky; it sinks with no rebound at all. It feels like running on wet sand, which can still be pleasant, of course, but a little more bounce like on the 1080v13 would be very nice. I'm also counting on this shoe for the annual trade show I have to attend this winter in which I have to stand around an exhibit booth for 4 full days. I tell ya; standing around for hours on end is much harder on my feet than walking or even running 20 miles!
The More V5 is a bigger shoe but yet feels more comfortable and lighter than the More V4. The V5 gives you great energy return and a smooth ride that you couldn't get with the More V4. Hands down, the most comfortable shoe I have ever tried on.
I’ve run up to a 25 mile run in the SL’s. They are not the most comfortable or fastest shoes, but I felt supported through the whole run and recovered quickly!
@@riefzetyo5646 Yes, because you can run half marathons and even marathons on any type of shoe. But is not a confortable shoe for that distance, you have better options for that. This SL and SL2 are intended to be daily trainers.
SL2 is a better value and I would prefer it if I could only have 1 shoe. With that being said, it depends if you want a plated shoe or not as these feel faster due to the power plate. If you already have a daily trainer, I would recommend going for the Pumas!
Tried the 1080 v13 Loved them but want something slightly more stable for recovery shoes, Will these fit the bill? Love max cushion for slow long runs, I train in Superblast 2’s and race in Metaspeed Edge Paris atm.
These should provide adequate stability as long as you don’t over pronate/supinate extremely. As far as other options, the Brooks Ghost Max is also one of my favorite neutral max cushioned shoes that feel pretty stable. Looks like you have a great rotation!
I personally didn’t run 32km in the SL2 as i prefer wider based shoe like the SL1. Long runs past 32km were good in the SL1 for me personally but they definitely lack “pop” or “plushness”. It’s a firm stable ride but my body feels fine after so i can’t complain! It’s just not the most fun shoe to run in and hard to run fast and long in them
i am using the Saucony triumph 21 for long runs im looking to boston 12 or supernova prima for the long runs although i run at 5:30 - 5:20/km the long runs what do you suggest thank you
Personally i think the supernova prima is the safer option just because I didn’t like the upper/fit of the boston 12 for my foot. With that being said, if you can try the boston 12 on and get a good fit, it’s a more fun shoe to run in!
I bet that the More v5 is even more versatile and responsive then the 1080 v13 ! NB keeps changing the Fresh foam and the one in the v13 was a foam very unstable and no bounce. Regardless of the low weight, the 1080 v13 was not any more versatile or faster then a Gel-Nimbus 25 or even a Solarglide 6 ( a heavy Adidas cushioning shoes ) . Hopefully the 1080 :?v14 will bring a less mushy FF and with the bounce of the FG from the More v5 !
Which one? I think the v4 has more room than the v5 but both are true to size! It would just depend on which type of fit you prefer as the v5 is more snug (which is my preference in fit)
@jt.8144 That's not how shoes work. Light runners use max cushion shoes all the time for recovery miles. And heavier runners tend to prefer shoes without compliant foam - e.g. Brooks Beast. You learn something new everyday. 🤣
If you loved the v4, a shoe that bottoms out easily and the foam is dead. Zero bounce, zero energy return... We can gess that this review it's just too much hype!
@@jasonjogsv4 is not a dead show. And it's not bottoming out even I m a heavy runner of 95 kg. Not great bounce. But you can't say it's dead. It's good long run easy day and one of the most comfortable and stable shoe.
My left foot is 26.6 cm to the longest toe(2nd toe) and right is 27 cm with average foot width 10.5 cm I wear Nike and brooks usually in size US 10 with a thumb or slightly more space at front. Brooks glycerin 21 size US 10 Wide 2E almost fits good but slightly narrow in the midfoot now I have ordered online new balance rebel v4 and 1080v13 in size US 10 and width 2E both. Will they fit for me or not just wanted to ask because as according to chart my size exactly is US9 but in running shoes I heard to size half or full size up. Kindly guide
I really liked the More v3 but I thought the v4 lost something. This does look like an upgrade from the v4. I'm 135 lbs. though, so I'm currently getting all the cushion I need from the Adizero SL2, with less weight and bulk.
Agreed. V3 was great! Ordered a V5 and only had a chance to wear in the house and seems closer to v3 than v4. Very soft but bouncy and great rocker roll.
