When I taught high school we had a “Bronies” club for boys who were into My Little Pony. 🤷🏻♀️ I have no idea what the point was, but you can always claim to be a Bronie …
@@kristirose2289 sorry to disappoint but I will decline this offer. Was talking with a friend yesterday who said I could have taken them to a convention, that would have been wild!
@@kristirose2289 yeah it does seem like some sell and others you couldn’t sell no matter what you do. At least they are easy to store and don’t take up much space!
@@timhalcomb4041 we use Google maps to create our map for the day. We had a better option but looks like the site is down now :( As far as finding the sales FB Marketplace Garagesalefinder.com Craigslist Yard sale treasure map app
Getting a return on a VHS/dvd combo unit that was listed for parts repair because it doesn’t work 🙄 and a return on a coach wristlet because the stitching is too white 😂. And got my first negative feedback on the combo unit. Buyer wants me to send another one that works or refund $. Like if I had one that worked it would have been a lot more $$$. I don’t think he understands how eBay works… Now I’m trying to get him to send it back so I can refund.
@@kristirose2289 yes on the combo I’d force them to return them refund and you should be able to get the negative feedback removed with a call. Apparently they have gotten a little more lenient on feedback removal
My wife calls these her coffee plans because they come mostly in the morning when the caffeine if cranking!! lol!! One thing for sure, you can only grow so far when working out of your home. Good luck this weekend!!
All you need are more shelves! (I’m also in tight quarters) I’ve added shelves up high wherever I can - the laundry room, closet, outdoor closet etc. I’m eyeing the space under the bed next. 🤷🏻♀️
@@kristirose2289 move over monsters under the bed! You have some roommates 100% with you and would be ok with same setup but she’s losing her mind with inventory “everywhere”
@@RetroRenewed it’s a hazard of the business. I would love to have a shed or storage space and have everything in its place, but it’s 100% not possible. So either I have to adjust my thinking or get out of this business. Those are my only two options. Moving is not on the table and there is no space for a shed. Renting storage would eat up all of my profits (I’m a small seller)
@@kristirose2289 yeah I would say that storage really can dictate what you can sell. It can suck to see a highly profitable large item you simply can’t buy but it’s the restraints space can put on you
I can't believe I missed y'all again!! I haven't been getting the notifications for some reason. We went to Savannah for our Honeymoon a few years back, but unfortunately, we missed seeing the Bananas. Great midweek sales and good luck sourcing this weekend!
I rely on the thrift stores around me. They are hit or miss though. I take it as a challenge to find things they miss or other resellers overlook, but it is time consuming. I don’t like garage sales because I don’t like to talk to people 😂😂😂😂! I need an Amber to go with me…
I saw a guy using the finger scan one day at a thrift store so I snuck up behind him and peeked over his shoulder to get the intel. I looked up the app and 1) it cost money and 2) it was for Amazon. I don’t remember the name of it and I didn’t dive any deeper to see if there was a similar app for non Amazon sellers. 🤷🏻♀️
I usually like these kind of videos. I usually enjoy this kind of content. But because of your divisive imagery, The American Flag, I'm gonna just leave my comment for the RU-vid algorithm. At least it's some engagement. But at this hour, with an election hand, that picture is fraught with red flags. Thank you and good day.
@@DavidStarrUSA I understand and would never imagine a world where the American flag would be divisive. It’s a shame really. We love America and always will!
Fun video!! I’m starting to feel the same way about large ship items, but with my new building, I have also considered dabbling in furniture. I sold a Prince tennis racquet bag this week and folded it for shipping. I used a large poly bag. Hopefully it works out without a problem. lol!!
What has been your most interesting international sale? I sold a Yamaha remote control to someone in Japan… daughter messaged me that her dad (in Japan) couldn’t find one. Head scratcher to me. Yamaha is a Japanese company 🤷🏻♀️
The one that comes to mind is an old CRTV (boob TV) that arrived damaged but was protected by the international shipping program. It is nice to know you can sell it and forget it so to speak
Amber! I relate!!! Also, on the crowds… I went to a library book sale, stood in line for an hour. When it was my turn to go in, the whole sale was packed into a single room - not even a big room - and the people were shoulder to shoulder. I went in, turned around, and went to a small thrift store where the energy was low.
I get some lowball offers and I just counteroffer with 10% off listed price and they hardly ever accept.. some people are cheap, but I feel most people are just broke financially....sad.
Potential Facebook marketplace scam. Yard sale leftovers are advertised for free but taker must take all items. Scammer says they want all the yard sale leftovers to donate. They come to your house and see the items and act like they want them all but after they pick up the free items they contact you and say it was all junk and they are upset because they had to pay hundreds of dollars to get the stuff removed out of their house. They harass you call you names and lie saying everything was junk even when it wasn't junk. They say they were ripped off and the items weren't good enough to donate. Which is a lie. Then they threaten and expect you to pay for the disposal of the items. Beware who you are giving yard sale items away to for free. Contact the police department if you feel threatened by anyone.
One of my local thrift stores offers 30% off on Wednesdays and then each other day they have 50% off a specific category. Great plan for turning over inventory, IMO.
Yes, as long as they have a point when they decide to finally move on, I am totally with you. Too often I go back 6 months later and see the same stuff and it’s a turnoff
I have offers on and I haven’t accepted one in a week or so because they are too low. I’ve just been having slow sales for awhile. 🤷🏻♀️ I’m part time so I can only do what I can and the rest has to work itself out.
She means capital is king. We use to say cash is king until you need a home loan or a car loan. Cash is only king when you can straight out buy with cash a house or a car.
As a business owner you have to be self motivated and have a drive to work harder then you have ever worked. But the perks make it sooo worth it. You get to be in control of your time and how much you are willing to give. It's a beautiful balance and once you figure that the freedom is worth the sacrifice.
The freedom really is have no “boss” even though eBay feels like a boss at times they don’t micromanage. I do think we are figuring out the balance aspect quite a bit
All great points. I would add that you need to really track your spending for a few months so you know exactly what you spend each month. And research the cost of health insurance! I don’t think people who have insurance through their job comprehend how much they will pay - even with marketplace insurance.
I have access to multiple goodwill stores and a goodwill bins store in my area and here’s what I think. It depends on the manager. One store prices shoes sky high, but hardwoods and toys are reasonable. The vibe in that store is great- everyone is happy, good music playing and constantly restocking. The other one is dark and drab, better for sourcing books and other media, but everything thing else is too high. They go days without restocking and no one is in a good mood. And don’t go to the bins unless you have some anti anxiety meds… 😂😂
Yeah the bins here are cut throat. Don’t get me wrong I like my two closest goodwills outside of the rising prices. We tend to prefer the smaller mom and pop ones and unfortunately they just don’t get the inventory that goodwill does.
@@RetroRenewed unfortunately we don’t have any mom and pop thrift store. Goodwill, Salvation Army, Thrift Giant and Super thrift City… all big corporate thrift stores. If I drive north about 30 minutes there are some smaller stores that I go to if I’m in that area. So maybe I should take stuff to them when I go up there … good idea Aaron!
I’m with Aaron on the offers! I just decline from the get go on offers that are too low. I also decline decent offers if the item is newly listed and has a lot of traffic. If it’s priced fairly and it’s popular, I’m holding out. Maybe I should respond with “come back in a month… “ 😂
You might look into this issue...I was comping a camera and it said the particular model sold for 9.99 to 499. Average selling price $198. Quite a few appear sold at auction for super low prices but when you click on the item it shows it sold on a BIN for $198. Unfortunately new sellers may list their cameras at 24.99.
My only violation was a Cards Against Disney game. And, like you said, there were others listed. I think I did see in terapeak that some others were taken down, but I didn’t really know what it meant. I learned! Apparently, it wasn’t made by the Cards Against Humanity company. Someone out there is making knock off games. When I bought it, I thought it was going to be a kids game. It was not 😳😳! Ha!
Oh that’s a shame! I always wonder if some of these companies make the product and just ban to avoid competition, we had a Vero on a beauty product wanting a receipt to show proof of purchase. It seems like just corporate greed/fraud.
