I think someone said it,,,this does not look like fear aggression it looks like aggression aggression for a poorly trained if trained at all dog who is used to getting her way.

The dog was referred to as a female at the beginning of the video and then a male in the second half. I'm also surprised the dog is not spoken to or reassured ever during the entire video. Beautiful work though. They? looks great.
I have a Doodle. Dachshund Poodles are super smart but also exceptionally emotionally intelligent - they’ll always be in tune with your emotions and be with you through the highs and the lows. They are excellent people-dogs and relish the company of humans. Doxipoos can boast about being hypoallergenic, thanks to their Poodle parent, so they are a great fit for owners with dog allergies ☺️
Just curious why you didn't use a hammock from the beginning?? She is way off the chart with aggressive behavior...I'm surprised she wasn't medicated prior to this groom by her owners they should be ashamed of themselves. They definitely know how aggressive she is before they drop her off to you
Girl, you allowing that puppy to nose those scissors while cutting is a hugh accident waiting to happen 😳 You need to be more stern with a puppy that's trying to bite you...
I think for an "aggressive" dog, she did very well. You're patience is also appreciated, but... I would not want my Yorkie mix to be shaved all over like that.
Honestly you did an amazing job. That dog behaves that way because it works to get what she wants, people to stop grooming her. Hopefully if you continue to work with her and she realises that you will keep going regardless of the poor behaviour she will stop reacting so badly. You seemed calm and cautious but clearly in control. Also, I noticed your kind words during the groom when she was behaving, not sure what groom the others were watching, clearly they haven’t had to groom aggressive dogs before
Why were you so rough when you were using the flea comb around the eyes?? And doing it really fast?? It's SO EASY to hurt her eyes and you could blind her. I'm sorry but if I saw you doing that to my dog, I would pick her up and leave
Im sorry but I don't know what you mean by me begin to rough with her. When using any comb around the eyes I angle the comb towards me so the ends do not go in the eyes. I use a scooping motion when doing so.
Poor dog's coat is ruined for life, all because his owners didn't train their dog to get brushed😕 🤦🏿♀️ I'll never understand why people want to own dogs, but don't want to properly train, or take care of them!
Wow!!! You’re amazing! This dog has some real issues! I cannot imagine how I would groom! lol I’d probably throw the dog in a crate and call the owner tell them to come pick up their dog before I take it to the pound, joking?? Maybe not lol jk! I think you’re amazing! And I think the critics are probably the ppl with bad dogs themselves if not then they probably have the kids that throws a tantrum in the grocery store! Lol
You did a great job, I can tell you are a pro! The kind of groomer who cares about people and would hate for them to pay a vet; or neglect it all together, even at the guarantee you will be bitten doing so. You can have twenty years experience and zero compassion! Also, human hands and dogs both react to hot scalding water immediately!
How rude of the commenter to assume you cut her nail too low w no evidence of that at all! They don’t know how to talk humans but mad you’re talking about this dog? IMO everyone that’s “upset” is because voice over! Slightly Mean (honest) Voiceover vs PAYING VET ⚖️ Let Billy Badass bite them & see their narration of the groom!
Shame on the owners for poor care . Puppies need training from the start . I sent my Chow to doggie grammar school,, then doggie high school. She was. Ver well trained , and every month groomed . groomer loved her .
Was für eine Geduld für diesen Hund. Am Ende hat Sie es doch geschafft.ist sicher ein sehr verwöhnter Hund, sollte ein wenig Disiplin und Training mit dem Hund gemacht werden! Alles Gute euch beiden🙏💋❤️🇨🇭
Too many people out there that don't understand, or too lazy; a dog needs training from the moment you get them... A dog needs to know boundaries! You're better than me, I would tell the owner to just add me to the list of groomers that refuse to groom her dog! I would not risk getting injured and losing my income for a animal who hasn't been properly trained. Let her pay a vet to sedate and groom her dog, maybe next time she buys a dog she'll understand that you must train them...
Thank you for having brain cells. It’s literally sickening how people think behavioral training is optional and not absolutely mandatory. Our groomers deserve better. Can you imagine a child kicking screaming and biting their hair dresser or dentist/dr just because they didn’t want to have it done!? “I’m sorry my 6 year old son only bites you because he’s scared” 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
This isn’t a puppy. This is a nearly a 6 year old dog with years of grooming. Every 4 months. It’s simply badly trained. It’s not scared. They have incredible senses. Zero excuse for this dog to be biting. Groomer burnout is real and the amount of groomers I’ve personally known who have quit their job after 5-12 years because of behaviors is heartbreaking. It’s so avoidable it’s pretty awful.
I think she is doing quite good. I do think she is afraid. And oh course a few temper tantrums. But I don’t think she is aggressive. She is trying you to see want you allow. It has probably worked for her in the passed.
That’s not fear aggression at all…that would be showing differently. I trained dogs for over 27 years. This is poor behavioral training and completely unnecessary. I would be absolutely ashamed and embarrassed if my dog acted like that! Especially when it gets groomed every 4 months. Simply bad behavior. I’ve successfully trained over 45 dogs for the groomers. Grooming is a team effort between owner and groomer. Never ever should it be left to the groomer to train it for the groom nor deal with the BS. Never ever should a dog not have desensitizing in between grooms. 3-5days a week did wonders for us. I mean it was incredible to witness. Even my dogs with previous grooming trauma LOVE getting pampered now. Not a single one needs a muzzle nor comb for their grooms now. I’m a huge advocate for behavioral training after my years of experience. The problems we have with dogs in the world is 99% due to bad owners/no training and 1% bad breeding. Dogs are the #1 killers of humans besides mosquitos and other humans. Over 4.5 million people are attacked a year worldwide. Training is the most important part of dog ownership. Our groomers deserve better!!
Yes anal glands are not something dogs like but does not mean a dog should react with biting there groomer. How else are you supposed to wash there head and not be direct, you need to litterly scrub a dogs face to get it clean.
I must say you have a lot of patience to be able to deal with that kind of behavior from that Yorkie!!! I give you lot's of credit!!! Many people on here are so fast to judge or criticize your work and the way you do things I noticed!!! It's not easy when your the one having to do the job of grooming an aggressive dog like that one!!! Good job!!!👍👍👍
I commend you on your work you did a good job! I have Yorkies to & oddly also named Billy lol… I was just curious I'm not a professional in any way but I like to watch these videos so I can get better cuz it's hard work! I currently have 6 Yorkies right now😓 only cuz a friend of mine had a stroke & is in the hospital,... so I took on his dogs & girl lmty.... I'm going a little crazy 😵💫& I know he won't be able to do it so I'm just gonna help out so I'm gonna need2 do a lot of cuts here soon... I was just curious if you've ever tried the Remington curved blade clippers it's like super small wireless handheld clippers? I hv accidentally knicked the dogs (never drew blood) but other than that they have been so helpful and a time saver for me I thought I'd mention it to you… I don't know if you read your comments or not but if you did, wouldn't hurt to leave a comment & lyk cuz I saw the big pair that you were using,..was also curious what pair they were if you like them or not?... but anyways I think you might get some benefit from a smaller pair of clippers… it's I forget the name of it but it's like a little small handheld curved blade pair black & I personally thought they are super awesome I love it!!! I think they're like 60 bucks or something not too much but anyways bravo & thank you for posting this I enjoyed watching it thank you... ...꧁𝄞ⓟε𖦊𝇊𝖊, ⓟ〄𓇱, & M𝖎𓊆ℝ۞𝔻۞🆃'ṩ ༂꧂
Thank you so much! I don't have that specific brand but I do own 2 small clippers it comes with 1 in 5 diffrent lengths clipper it is called a wahl bravuura lithium Ion. If you are grooming them yourself I would not go shorter than a number 10 blade. Also I have gotten a few pairs of shears from scissors of the month club.
As I had said in a previous comment I promise you the water was not to hot, I test the water out on my hand before touching any dog with it. If the water was to hot I would not be able to touch her or the water while I am washing her. Also my grooming room is in a enclosed porch and is a very small room. So it gets very steamy in there.
