The Dutch/American artist The Scumfrog has been a household name in the underground Dance Music scene since 2000. His brand is known for many traits; music production, musicianship, DJing, featured vocalist, music coach, radio host, and remixing.
From his timeless early works like Watersong, to dubbed-out remixes of songs by mainstream artists like Kylie Minogue, Annie Lennox, Missy Elliott, to collaborations with David Bowie, Sting, and Cyndi Lauper (resulting in a Grammy nomination), he has been featured on virtually every prominent independent Dance label, from Bedrock to 1605, from Positiva to Knee Deep In Sound.
The Scumfrog toured the world many times over with his unique DJ sets, and is also a staple at the Burning Man festival. He is in production with a new project in NYC featuring live percussionists.

In 2023 I heard and found this fantastic track for the first time and it got such an effect on me. To me it is about human's crucial need in partnership and feeling accepted. Today saw the video for the first time and realised that it was done during the Pandemic 2020 and it perfectly suites what people felt during that time all over the world. To me it is still actual whenever I feel lonely. I feel that music can have a therapeutic effect on people and bring them together. Really like the final scene in the video when Lego figures turn into a couple walking at the beautiful sunset holding hands. So romantic and gives hope. Now this song is a pearl in my Spotify collection. 💖

I remember when this first came out- I'd just come home from a hard tour in Iraq and this song just spoke to everything I had, everything I needed, and 20 years later now it's still such an iconic track. Here I am again listening to it, hitting everything I need just as hard. Absolutely brilliant work on this one.

In my country a few days before was new year festival and I was in barbershop. For a tradition we celebrate the last wednesday of year. But with fireworks in all of pieces of town. So long story short, that was like war zone and hair stylist played this music with maximum volume. I was very excited and looking for this song till now. I wish I can send you what I heared because I recorded that. Specially our mother languege is not english and the voice was not clear at all. This music is amazing.
