HELLO, let's see if you can help me. I have the studio, and my camera is an FX3. I'm getting a media file error with specific clips when trying to render. I've tried everything they told me. I worked directly from the files on my MACBOOK PRO M3, cleared the cache and everything related to playback, did 'Render in Place,' and even started a new project with the renders. I already formatted the computer, went back to DaVinci 18 and then 19. Still, when it's time to render, it shows 'MEDIA OFFLINE.' What's odd is that sometimes when I try again, the error happens with different files. I NEED HELP, I'M DESPERATE. What could it be? Could it be my computer? Because I have a friend with the same computer, and he doesn't have this issue.
I think I would go mad if that would happen to me. I would convert all my xavc files to prores hq files and use a different SSD to edit them. I would also screenshot all the errors and send them to blackmagic. Our issue with the render came from DaVinci seeing some missing frames where there were none. I guess you are having way more issues. I also use the appstore DaVinci Studio. I find it more reliable on mac.
Hey guys! I'm stuck with Monterey still because I'm afraid that the 100fps videos of my Sony a7siii will not work in an update. Does anyone know for sure if it works on the latest Mac OS?
No way of monitoring your camera on set without false colour or an external monitor, different ISO’s meaning variations in how each of those monitoring methods works, and no log profile? This seems like a camera that would be terrifying to work with unless you were making proper cinema. Sigma need to fix these basic issues and I think this could possibly take over the market. Until then I’ll stick to reliability as that what’s gets you paid.
Why no log? - It’s the main reason most people aren’t using this camera. Seeing what you’re filming on screen is the most basic feature of any film camera.
I know. It seems your problem is not rendering. Your problem is media offline. I think you should seek a solution to your problem. We had an issue with a good timeline with all media online and all the timeline played good in DaVinci but if we tried to render/export, an error appeared. So we found a solution for that.
What about internal gyro date being recorder to post stabilize using catalyst browse? 3.0 stopped the gyro data from being recorded. Any chance you can share a few seconds of footage from your camera to download and test?
@@IonCosmina It WORKS!! Thank you!! Also FYI when shooting unstable footage with intention to use Catalyst Browse you need to crank your shutter to at least 1/100. They suggest 1/600 but I never go higher than 1/400. You have to increase shutter to avoid the blur after stabilizing. @@IonCosmina got it! I’m picking up a FP later this month, and wanted to figure out if I needed the BRAW for more accurate color…because storage isn’t an issue for me.
good luck! there are many people who commented that they like cdng more but i've recorded most of my commercial projects with braw and i was very happy
People commented 13.5 fixed this but I am on 13.6.1 and have the same problem but with 60p files, not even 120 fps ... Any suggestions? VLC reads them just fine... But FCPX 17.2 will not all black like your were...
Hey there, I just accidentally recorded a couple of clips in XAVS-I HD 60p and they will not play for some reason in FCPX or even from my desktop through Quicktime. Only with VLC player. The clips show up as black in FCPX? First time it has ever happened to me... MAC Studio M2 MAX and FCPX 10.7.2 ? I have never had clips not able to play on my Mac's. The clips playback fine in my Sony A7IV in camera but show up Black in FCPX? Any help please... Good thing it is just 2-3 clips but weird... Thanks for any suggestions
I feel like there's enough fp lovers out there. It's a niche camera with some really great features but not for many in the camera world. I love mine and I will not let go of it. But for most of my projects, I can't use it.
I got a Blackmagic Assist 5 12G HDR, and I love it ❤ My camera is Canon R6 Mkii and I use Samsung 2TB m.2 in a Asus case so I can hook it to the monitor via USB-C. 9 hours of recording in 4K25p, ProRes 422.
This is so good! I'm discovering all your videos and can see the work on them. One question, do you use the ef mount sigma 18-35? If so, what adapter do you use and how do you find shooting with it? I have just got and F3 and I'm slowly trying to put it to work. Thanks in advance!
Hi! Thank you. I never had the 18-35 from Sigma. It would be a shame to use it on full frame. I am using a sigma adapter from ef to l-mount for the fp. The ef lenses I got were used on a Canon c100 mk1. 18-35 would’ve been better for that super 35 system. Don’t know what you mean about F3. Is that a camera?
@@IonCosmina oh sh**. I was writing this coment to a previous video on my list! Don't know hoy it end up here! Yes the sony f3 is and old super 35 camera, a really nice one. And I'm trying to pair it to my EF sigma 18-35. Sorry for the nuisance. Great review either way!
It does for most situations. There might be other versions or other issues. I'm sorry you have this issue. And I'm sorry this solution doesn't help everyone.
I updated to v3.0.1. The update process goes into a reset stage, but does not reset the camera. All my current settings were intact. I was pleasantly surprised my that.
Yes. You can. You can set it out from the sigma fp menu. But if I would only try to use it as a monitor, I would get something cheaper without recording options like the atomos shinobi
I didn’t test that. But I think that might also be in the hands of gimbal makers. The gimbals might need updating to be compatible with the new sony firmware. But I’ll will check that too.
yes i have faced a weird issue, as usual i was using two card on shoot and when i copy the data i saw that first cards have free space(more than 10 gb) and then i noticed that camera has created same title of different videos in second card and some clips from starting of the shoot and some are from mid duration of the shoot. around 25 titles are same and i didn't swipe any card while shooting and how can camera swtich to another card when first card has free space.
Did you have any issue while plug both sigma fp and video assist to the same battery? I heard about "ground loop problems" (?). Do you have any feedback about this topic?
