thanks so much! it helped me out today with an exact same challenge that you showed me how to do! And, as @medic6031 says..."Great idea using the old slides as a guide to install the new ones"- that was my saving grace!
Thanks for watching! They actually recommend having it this way. My guess it is similar to concrete and on a hot day if you do not have it damp then it will suck the moisture out of the product and possibly crack or not bond well.
I just bought the exact machine with the 20% Coupon so out the door for $319. I like the machine. It runs solid and does the job. I've seen a few videos by a guy named Doc on RU-vid who says that you should have a minimum of 8,000 cleaning units derived by multiplying pressure x gallons/min - so for this machine you get 3200 x 2.8 = 8960...so well above the sweetspot of 8000 Doc says you really want. The pressure washer is a good deal on the coupon. I've cleaned everything I needed to. My only problem is it vibrates so much...dances around all over the place. Grin. But it is powerful and pretty lightweight.
wow, wonder did you add any soap to the reservoir of the pressure washer, or did those results come from using water. Nonetheless big difference. thanks for the video
Thanks for watching. I actually pre-treated it with mean green. there’s an attachment on the pressure washer that you can spray chemicals and such over the driveway so I let it soak for about 15 minutes before doing the surface cleaner.
@@BrianWingard Thanks for your response. What PSI was your pressure washer? I will try the mean green and pickup one of these from harbor freight today. To be noted a few weeks ago I poured out a half gallon of white vinegar on part of the concrete driveway that is black, and it turned it super white without scrubbing anything. Did not realize vinegar is that strong and would be able to turn black dirty concrete to bright white. Will use mean green , vineger, and dawn dish washing liquid as it has degreasing properties. Will post before and after video so you can see. Thanks for your video, response, etc. etc.
I’m at work right now, but can reply more later. Here’s a link to the other video showing the pressure washer that should answer a lot of the questions. I will respond back tonight. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xsk4M0Y2kxg.htmlsi=jMuD8EhuH8IlElMP
Just the shape of the cut it sure look like a coffin. People might wonder who you buried under there. But I might need to do this really soon. Thanks for the video and all the commentaries too.
I might have one bauer tool most of the tools I have are ryobi what I did was I have 2 batteries here they are expensive dewalts but what ever adatpers I do have here everything has an adapter even the ryobi shop vac so I can keep using dewalt batteries and dont need to swtich brands !!!!
Inside of my drawers (with the cheap teflon ball setup like yours) is already the wood you suggest installing to receive slow close hardware. So do I simply add the slow close on top of existing guide (with 1/2" shim) then connect like you did and remove old junkie teflon slides and repeat? Detail question...Is it TWO 1/2" shims or a total of 1/2" shim above old track? How does shim stay in after removing OLD slide?
Thanks for watching. In my own experience you almost always have to buy a seperate product. The reason being is most all sealers are thinner liquid and if you try to fill a crack with it as it drys it will crack apart. Most of the products to fill cracks are thicker and will not crack as they dry. Hope this helps.
@@MatthewKelly-bh3vk Harbor junk is good for getting a couple uses out of tools. I think they did well getting 3 uses out of it. Ive bought the same tools 3 times before I realized even buying a warranty its stupid to waste the gas and time returning the junk every time it breaks. Unless im using something for a short use skipping HF is the best option.
I was planning to rent but this video is an honest review. Looked good to me. I went out at lunch and bought this yesterday from my local HF. I'll be trying it out over the weekend. I bought the Hercules general purpose blade for 90 bucks. I hope it makes the cut i need.
Thanks for the detailed instruction. It's a bit concerning there was no mention of an expansion tank when, according to your responses in the comments, you have one. Had I not read the comments, I never would have known. Maybe edit the video or at a minimum add a note in the description that you are in fact utilizing an expansion tank.
Thanks for watching. I can add a comment in the description. I just took for granted all systems have expansion tanks. Maybe some areas do not? I know here it is code to already have one in your system. They are usually always mounted near your hot water tank and not at the beginning of the system like the booster pump.
No expansion tanks where I am at. Never seen a house around here with one, although I’m sure they are out there. Just built a new house, no tank on that either.
@@BrianWingard ah, okay, yes, I do have a small expansion tank by my hot water heater (after the heater). Is there a way to limit the boost on this pump? My current pressure is around 43 just inside the meter. I don't want this to boost another 40 so I end up over 80 psi.
Thank you for the info, but just one question...why is a pressure tank not needed in this system? I'm thinkin it's something to do with flow/pressure, but could you explain more about tankless systems? Thank you
Thank you for watching. A tank is still required in the system. It is farther down the line which you can not see in this video. I just assumed since most all plumbing has the tanks I did not need to mention it in the video.
Thanks for watching. I would use a degreaser or cleaning product over the area where the penetrating oil is. It probably would break down the sealer and not get a good bond if it was not removed. Hope this helps.
@BrianWingard ok so as long as the oil on the surface is removed I should be good Right? meaning the oil is sponged in deep under, but the surface is safe after the degreaser solution.
Thanks for watching. Bondo is not very flexible with the temperature changes and will crack. This product stays flexible in a sense and will move with the temperature changes throughout the year.
On most of the paint containers it will tell you how much you need to dilute the paint to use in sprayer. I usually used 16 to 32 oz of water per gallon. Dependant on the quality of paint. Some cheap commercial paint is said to be sprayer ready. but I want using those brands. For hand held sprayer I always started with 16oz. But it's been some time

This Sunday, March 24, 2024, from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm is another get together show in Altoona, PA at the Blair County Convention Center. I hope to be there. I’ve just recently decided to get back into the hobby with N Scale Kato Unitrack after a 35 plus year hiatus. Then there is an N Scale Weekend coming up September 14 & 15, 2024, at the Blair County Convention Center, Altoona, PA from information I have seen. I only live about 2 miles away from the Convention Center, so it’s in my backyard so to speak. The Horseshoe Curve is 7 miles away from me and take advantage of going to the Altoona Railroaders Museum if you get a chance. You can Rail Fan near the Museum as the Mainline through Altoona is there and there are some overhead walkways over the Norfolk Southern Tracks.
Thanks for watching! I appreciate all of the information. I will be there in the fall but can not make it this weekend. Out of my family I am the only one who never worked on the railroad. My great grandfather worked in the Juniata yard and my grandfather and dad worked locally here. They all have plaques at the museum. I always enjoyed the horseshoe curve! It has been a while since I have gone there but would like to go again. I still will watch some trains in cresson or behind the train museum a few times a year.
@@BrianWingard My Grandfather worked in the Samuel Rea, Hollidaysburg Car Shop. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to know him well. He passed away when I was 4 years old in 1959. The Railroad was a big employer in the Altoona area. It was sad to see the Hollidaysburg Car Shop close.
