Thank you for this insightful video. Just about to leave to pick someone up from airport. Couldn’t find this information on their official website. Priceless info 👍🏻
Thank you for the video, it is very helpful, I read on the comments that you pay by debit card at the exit barrier, no idea why you do not get this information on the official Gatwick parking site!
Interesting that the pickup charge is £5 for 10 mins, but it takes about 4 minutes to get from the ticket barrier up to the express pick up area. Would be tricky to get in and out inside 10 mins
I really wish I had seen your video this morning before I dropped my daughter off. Didnt know where the drop off point was so missed going into the car park and up the ramp! Ended up stopping on the double red lines for a few minutes on the exit approach for her to get out. Bound to get a parking fine now! ☹
Hi Lorraine - I am sorry ... you are right that parking on the double red lines is frowned upon - I've got my fingers crossed you hear nothing. Probably the better video to watch is at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KmKi1GMo8W0.html.
Hi Steve, yes, Orange car park 3 is where Express Pickup is located on Level 0. Freeze frame the video at the appropriate place (3:50) and you will see the reference to Express Pickup towards the bottom of the sign.
Hi Mahbub I think costs have risen recently - somebody may be able to give us an update. When I was last there you could wait up to 30 minutes and the cost on going through the barrier was £5. If you are dropping off a passenger you drop off in a slightly different location and have to pay a fee (for me it was £5) over the internet when you get home. Hope this helps.
No. You pay at the gate when leaving. Using a card is easy. Don't have to insert ticket as the gate recognises your car ... though wise to keep your ticket with you, in case.
Thank you so so much - I’m about to pick my partner up from here and there was so little information online I got confused. I was nervous. Now I know exactly where to go. Can’t thank you enough for making this!
Shiraz, thanks for the message and I hope the pick up went okay. I did the video some time ago so I'd be grateful if you'd let me know of any updates I should report, or indeed, whether I should consider taking the video off the internet. Many thanks.
@@lindsayclubb No changes needed, it was absolutely perfect! It really helped me pick up my partner yesterday, otherwise I would’ve not known what to expect. Really appreciated it. Perhaps you could specify that this is Car Park 6, Express pick up, as you can’t find any pictures of Car Park 6 anywhere.
Another option is to use the long stay car park. You get 2 hours free parking and can use the shuttle bus to go into the terminal, meet the person, then get back on the bus to return to your car. As long as you don't stay longer than 2 hours, the ticket will let you out of the car park free of charge.
Sorry I haven't replied before now. My journey to Gatwick is long so I usually arrive far too early. I find it works best for me to wait at Pease Pottage Services (just a few miles down the M23) until the passenger I am picking up calls me and confirms they are through any necessary checks and have started walking to Express pick up. Sometimes i do keep them waiting a bit but I'm in and out in just a few minutes.
You pay at the floor level you park, near the staircase, (see 8:15) or at the machine immediately to the right of the ground floor vehicular exit from the car park (see at 11:57). When I got to the exit barrier I don't think I even had to insert my ticket (see 12:16), but have it ready just in case.
I have googled and googled this. Nothing on LGW pages for how to pay except if you book in advance. In other words there is nothing 'express' about this....you gotta park up, get outta car, pay at pay station, get back in car and exit. In other words a normal (non express) car park. 'Trust me I'm a lawyer' syndrome. Anyway, thanks very much for posting this vid and the payment comment!
Hi guys...i had the same peoblem as you.. its dual mass flywheel...and it's very very expensive for this model..also i have identical engine 1.5tdci ...the price of dual mass flywheel is about 1200€ (SACHS) ... change it as soon as possible...🙂 HAVE A NICE DAY GUYS P.S. my focus now have 200k km
Nope. Still makes the noise ... but I've done another 20,000 miles and the situation hasn't worsened and the car has remained a delight to drive. If Ford could work out where the noise is coming from (don't think they're up to it really) I'm sure they'd describe it as a feature of the car's character. I even find myself saying, "Oh! I know how you're feeling!" on the very odd occasion the noise returns!
Because I keep my ac on year round condensation is rarely an issue. On the odd occasion condensation has been a problem turning on the heated windscreen has cleared it v quickly. Never had ice on the inside but I imagine heating the windscreen would clear this too!
I wouldn't judge Edinburgh by the dock area at Leith! There must be tons of videos on RU-vid that will convince you Edinburgh is, in fact, one very beautiful and interesting city!
