‘Ava is what its called in Samoan while kava is what the Fijians call it but all in all its the same thing, but seeing as he is in Samoa, yes its called the ‘ava ceremony
Surely the point is that the King's visit comes at very short notice, and State Premiers, one of whom is actually in an election campaign which he may lose, can be expected to have their diaries heavily booked. Speaking as a South Australian, where is the problem if protocol is observed and the South Australian governor or some other appropriate representative attends? Given the tyranny of distance, the South Australian Premier attending would probably mean taking almost 2 days out of his diary and disrupting long set arrangements with many other people. All of this has got nothing to do with the Constitutional Monarchy - Republic debate here in Australia or can be construed as an intended insult to the King.
The State Governors who are viceroys are the highest representatives of the States. They are appointed by the monarch on the advice of the State Premier. It is protocol that when the Governor is representing the State the Premier does not cash in outside their own State. King Charles will be welcomed by the PM so the Governor General is not present (as the GG represents the King). The GG will have a private meeting with the King.
The king can get fucked. I hope we get freedom from these genocidal freaks. Obtaining from welcoming someone born into being a dictator is the least our democratically elected representatives can do. 🫡 Good work politicians 👏🏼
It’s called strine, it’s Aussies talking straight with humour, but accidental humour. I would rather be grossly insulted by an Aussie than telling them my address and before you know it they’ve move in for months.
Something traumatic has happened to Catherine Princess of Wales. I don't know if it was cancer or something else, but whatever it was, Catherine looks very very sad.
I was wonderful to see! I don’t think he might have done that 5 to 10 years ago but it was adorable to see how much he enjoyed that and was touched by it! So sweet. He’s going through a lot with trying to get “Andy” out of the mansion and into a lovely house more suited for a bachelor!
I was at Balmoral Castle in August to perform for the King. He was gracious with his time and person. He spoke with members of the band, greeted our spouses, and shook hands with most of them. We were all touched with his kindness.
I had a lovely dream. I saw the King standing on his own and asked if he needed anything. He said he was waiting for his car, which was apparently late. I said "I just live over there, we are having a tea party, would you like to join us while you wait?" He said yes. He sat on the sofa with a cup of tea, enjoying us chatting with each-other and chatting to him too. It was all very relaxed. People were asking me "what on earth?" He mingled for a while then I noticed he had gone out the door. I went to look. "My car is just arriving, thanks for all the tea and lovely chat, you've been very kind". I gave him a hug and off he went in his big burgundy Rolls Royce, waving. When I woke up, I thought, that's probably exactly how he WOULD be.
I remember years ago when a royal was hugged in America by an older black woman and the press went ape over it, seeing years later the king saying why not for British hugs is wonderful
The letter will always be the property of the person who sent it. It belongs to that person and all courts recognize the writer responsible for its contents. Who is selling King Charles property with out his consent ?
wow what a departure from "do not touch the monarch" though i'm pretty sure one still has to ask before even attempting it 🙂there are still anxious security nearby
Hugs are lively, but please remember we need to be careful that if we are in any way contagious, that we don't put the King at risk of becoming ill. Protect our treasure. Thank you!
Long live King Charles ❤ he looks amazing for someone who has been so ill, this short video has brought me to tears I’m so proud of the Royal Family they have all been through so much recently. ❤️🏴
Amazing! That's his work done for the year, I guess, apart from signing into being a few more laws restricting free speech and criticism of Starmer's govt. He probably could do with a holiday now.
