Hi lovelies! My name is Niamh, I'm 21 and live in the UK! I'm currently a student at a top drama school in London studying Musical Theatre. Follow me on my journey! Xox
Am scared because I don't think there is drama school in my city and am also working,so I don't know what to do about it.am scared of doing any audition for drama school
I literally get what you mean when you say about “imposter syndrome” I feel like I’m out of place like not supposed to be there if that makes sense? Like i feel like people don’t want me with them x
Thank you for posting this, it was so interesting to have a clear insight into drama school life. And omg I relate to you a lot. When you were talking about feeling humiliated in tap, I was the exact same in MT singing - I had a solo line in Welcome To The Rock & I was so confused with when to come in but everyone else did it perfectly & I felt so insecure. Also, I get so anxious & uncomfortable in group&alcohol settings and I know as I get older I'd probably opt to stay in, which is kinda sad, but I get you. And I'm incapable of going to bed at a decent time too 😂🥴Thank you for taking the time to make this, I know you must be really busy ❤️
Hey Niamh :) nice to 'meet' ya! If you're gonna enter the Arts it's really important to have a good handle on all of this so well done for taking break and giving yourself a mental rest. Start implementing useful habits for mental health now darling so you can go in fully fresh and prepared for the ups and downs of training and then further down the road your career :) xxx
Hey Pippa thank you so much for your advice! I definitely agree with you and understand the importance of mental stability and resilience in this industry! Thank you for watching xxx
I really enjoyed this. I left University last year and needed to take break to focus on my mental health. It's so comforting watching videos like these knowing that others have felt the same. I've actually also been in the midst of reapplying for drama schools so I know the pressure of the arts! I hope you are happier now beaut and that when you return you'll be in your best and happiest place. Also if the arts doesn't go to plan, stick to youtube, you're a natural in front on the camera! Keep doing you girl! <3 x
I loved this vlog so much. I started a musical theatre course at a university this year, and it has been so odd with corona and stuff so I completely understand how you feeling :) hope your having a great Christmas break!
This was such a good video! Thank you for all your tips! I was just wondering, what would you say is the normal travel time to and from accommodation for drama school students? Like say you had rented separate accommodation & it was therefore a bit further away than the accomodation supplied by the drama school/university, is a 40 min travel normal? or do you think it's better to be as close as possible? Xx
Omg Niamh. I love this so much! I almost cried watching you break down and you know I never cry. 😱😂. I’m so so proud of you and I’m so proud to call you my best friend. 💛💛
