Salutations! I am Mr. V, and I love historical strategy games! Come along for uploads every week. All are welcome, and who knows, ya might just learn something...
If you have footage you want casted, or have ideas any collaborations or projects, please send them to the email address provided.
If Soldier went for at least a bit of skirms we could've traded better in so many many fights because I believe revolutionaries have a multiplier versus cavalry (both ryuter and huss) on range and melee attacks. The problem would've been the heavy cannons mowing them though.
So I’ve never loved your casts I think mainly because of your deep accent but after you pronounced ancien régime correctly (only aoe3 caster to do so) Hallelujah I am a converted man and have now come around to your deep husky historically correct voice ;)
Hurray! I'm so glad to hear that, though I've never considered myself to have an accent. I suppose everyone thinks that though. Glad you enjoyed the cast!
The Gatling Camel has been in the game since the African Royals DLC but I can't blame you for not seeing them before this game. The only way to train this unit is either to roll it in the Tavern/Saloon or going to the Imperial Age as Ethiopia with the Arabs. Plus for a unit that costs 450 coin and 5 pop, it's usually not worth it. Also, the unit itself could be historically inaccurate since there is little evidence of camels actually being equipped with Gatling Guns. Best case is that they did exist but were made obsolete by Maxim guns. Worse case is that it's a marketing device based on a tall tale by an artillery officer. That said, next time you play against the AI, type "devasd" in the in-game chat for a super beefed up version of the unit that has a laser attack. No, I'm not making that up.
Great cast! About the last fight, yes ontontins deals a ton of damage, but it also shows how OP the egle runner knights are. They killed the winged haussar so quickly and kept the slingers safe. Slinger egle knight combo is too OP.
You missed one more native card near the intro which also buffs skirmishers and CDBs (which had the picture of Beaumont for the third act of the original campaign) PS You covered it later 😂 I thought all OG players knew about it since vanilla days
Can't say I agree with you there, friend. Did he lame a possibly op unit? Sure. But Shake is a top-level player for a reason, and its not because Sweden is an op civ by any means. But your opinion is yours to share, and you are free to share it!
Shake is 100% right in abusing a good unit. The point of the game is winning. Chef should have gone age IV and made ligeon dragoons or the portuguese special guard musketeers.
I was curious as to why he didn't try going goons at any point. Age 4 would have certainly been good, but I don't know if he gets away with an investment like that with Shake's army running around.
Thanks for casting! I recognized Chef's name when I got in but couldn't remember if it was from youtube vids of high-level players or if he was just one of the guys I had seen around my level. I personally don't mind lopsided matches like this one because I always seem to learn faster in any game the larger the skill gap.
@@MrVStrategy yes, quaker guns are fakes meant to distract enemy artillery in a culv duel. Not very good considering it takes a shipment to get two of them + a culv. They're not worth 250 resources each.
Na, best civ is France, they can do practically everything: natives, mercs, revolutions, boom, rush, turtle, etc. Second is Ottomans for obvious reason, and third would be Germany or Spanish (at least in classic 1 vs 1). Dutch is cool, but their are very suceptible in early game and more or less they have two strategies: go mercs, go regular units and thats it. British is in the same spot as dutch, their house booming is almost mandatory.
Aztec are the best civ, but their units usually have low HPs, so for me I always focus on area damage against them. Cannons vs Aztecs are the best choice.
I don't understand what's going on with Russia, I mean, you can't send villagers because it saves 25 food and a couple of seconds, but instead it adds all the build seconds of the 3 villagers, which are seconds lost in resource gathering, and many other things.
0:30 Aw yeah! The mod wouldn't be what it is without those crisp acting skills. Thanks for the shoutout! Awesome game! Why do you think the matchup is so lopsided?
