Just bought one for my Tacoma. And yes, it takes more time than the “pump slam-o-Rama” of a traditional oil drain plug BUT it gives you ample time to take off that spin oil filter and do a look over on the entire engine and getting the new oil ready to pour into oil filler hole topside!👍🏻
I start w the oil and I’m not fast enough to beat it. Plus one pair of gloves and a clean job and no more torque spec crush washers n bolts to replace each oil change. Plus I drain straight into the old jug so I don’t need a drain pan :) That’s time and $ savings for me.
@@AdventureSquadOverland yea, I’m very glad I bought it; wanted to for awhile but never liked the other style(s) that might run the risk of accidental discharge. Can’t wait to use it for years I hope!🤞
These Brakes are not a big brake kit it's upgrades u would be best to do the 2010-2021 gx460 brake upgrade these brakes rotor size is 12.88 when vs 460 is 13.31 inches and more weight and less flex and less likely to warp
Great video. Awesome area. Come back in November and I will give you a unbelievable 5 day route through Death Valley. The trailer could have easily made it through Mengel pass. You made it seem ominous but Mengel was the miner that lived in Butte valley. There were 2 more cabins you could have stayed at near geologist cabin. My favorite valley in Death Valley. Amazing place isn’t it.
💯, the vibe was how I felt first time there and I was wrong on may of my first impressions. I think the name had a lot to do with it. I’m 💯 in on a 5 day late September if that works! 💪🏼
Can you tell me a little about your bumper, is it custom or off the the shelf? How did you mount your propane tank? And where did you get a propane tank shaped like that. And great video appreciate you taking the time to make it and share it.
Thank u for watching. The propane tank is for boats, but it’s small enough to fit where I need it. The front bumper is from c4, the hybrid front bumper. The rear bumper I can’t fully recommend bc it wasn’t built to the specs I was hoping. The swing out handles cover my Baja designs reverse lights and the mount of the arm is too close to the knuckle and other things I wish were thought out a little more. The double swing outs are nice but if they can open past 90 degrees a little even better (mines doesn’t). The mount for the tank I grabbed on fb market place lol. Good luck!
What an awesome video! You covered so much ground - that is honestly the most epic grouping of spots that can make it into one video. Loved watching this so much! Well done buddy! 😊 👊🏼
Thanks Greg, means a lot from a local with awesome DV content yourself. Your words have inspired me to start the next video today. It’s about a 7 day Arizona backcountry adventure with Jonny Taco Outdoors, LFG Overland, White Dog Overland, Quincy and Jonny from Duro Bumps. Hope u like it.
I’ve used the old one in a pinch several times no issues. Make sure the snap doesn’t look warped or flattened. Also have a spare for next time or if the axle ever pops out (I highly highly doubt it).
I have Fumoto valves on our three cars. Makes the oil changes easier and cleaner. They have never leaked a single drop of oil. No tools to start the drain.
Which one is smaller length wise? I don't have a ton of room and want to ensure it won't hit my skid plate. I'm going to buy whichever one is shorter (for more clearance)
I believe they were pretty much identical however the valvomax appeared to use more metal in construction so it’s heavier making me think less prone to bending and breakage. So I guess all being equal length, do you want something beefier and the damage may reach your oil pan or something lighter where it may still reach your oil pan but might also act as kind of a fuse for damage. I can say it did stick out more than a drain plug, maybe twice as long if I remember correctly. Maybe someone else can help chime in here. Great thought for your build tho. Good luck.
@@AdventureSquadOverland I’m not too worried about damage as long as it doesn’t contact my skid plate. Thank you for the reply I’m definitely leaning towards the Valvomax. I
First off that’s a man’s truck right there, congrats. Also I was chatting with some locals who say the south trail we did was the hardest and many of the hard obstacles have bypasses and the trail is wide. We will be doing the full loop this September and bringing the 2500 with us :)
Take a left at the fork and stay left. You should be good with some spotting. If your super tall there is a squeeze on the straight, passenger tires on a rock leaning the top towards a tree if your taller than 37” w 3” lift
Yep, but getting off the main trail not so much. I have seen thinner tires pop as well, probably better to have thicker rubber (higher load range). Make sure u take a good spotter you trust. There is always the dam area that can be plan b.
