Dude. That's nice enough you could use it permanently. If you made it with oak or someother planed hardwood you really could use it permanently and it would be gorgeous.

I had the same problem. I tried ATF/acetone nut buster w/o success. Just left things greasy. I have hard water and in an aha moment, I used a straw to siphon vinegar down onto the set screw a few times. Let it sit. Then tried again and the screw turned.

Except it’s still super soft and rippable after it dries so it’s pointless. I was trying to find how to make it solid
@hammershomereno
@hammershomereno Месяц назад
You can pour concrete to make it “solid” and it’ll just crack with temperature change. The key is doing this which will withstand the temperature changes and seasons. Good luck.

Thank you!! This was the best tutorial ever!! I used a heat gun instead of a hairdryer, but it worked just the same. I’m 70yrs old so it took a little bit of effort with the chisel, but once it started to move, it was easy. Saved me some plumber money ☺️

Thank you for the video, so helpful! My husband and I need to remove our old double oven. I wanted to know what to expect. Our old top oven was controlled by a digital panel which broke first. And our old bottom oven was controlled by knobs which finally broke after many years, LOL It's time for a brand new single wall oven!

About to start this project. My driveway is running on the long side of the foundation. I was thinking I would fill the crack with sand and then some small pebble rock then more sand yet no one seems to mention rock. Why is the backer rod better than rock?
@hammershomereno
@hammershomereno 2 месяца назад
Backer rod’s form and shape allow it to expand and contract with the different temperatures and seasons through out the year. Rock will not allow this and will eventually lead to cracks from the expansion and contraction from temp fluctuations
