They were not singing because they were not trained enough to sing. They also were not fluent enough in English. They were amazing dancers and put the stage on fire. It would have taken years for them to sing professionally. The best would have been to keep them as representative of the band, the nice dancers, and to bring the real ones with them. Drug addiction is harsh on fragile minds. RIP Rob.
I see a lot of people in the comments saying well this is no different from autotune today. That is wrong. The difference between what they did and today is today they’re taking the voice and making it into auto tune. Mili vanili people did not lay a single track. They did not add any vocals at all during their entire career. That’s not the same as adding your vocals and having an autotune onto it.
I came here for the documentary in which Fav tells the whole truth. Farian was, because he's dead, a racist that used many black artists as puppets for his own benefits. Can you blame a couple of 20 years old youngsters that lived in poverty in Germany and they were tempted with a HUGE offering that could make their dreams come true? specially rob who never met his parents and was craving for love an attention, more than money. And costed his life.

U2 played a show there last week, and not only commemorated this album, but brought everyone there to the future they envisioned from your 1990s reality. Welcome to the future! There are robots, concerts where the whole venue is a fucking video screen, U2 (mostly), the birth of artificial intelligence, Brian Eno is still here, magical computer/TVs you can hold in your hand, and of course, flying cars! I lied about one of those. You are as old and simultaneously as young as you will ever be. Enjoy today!!
A good DAC (digital analog converter) is all you need. Vinyl is the worst format imaginable. Those who say vinyl captures all the wonderful nuances of the master tape aren't telling you that vinyl is compromised from the moment a record is stamped. First, bass needs to be reduced so the needle doesn't skip the groove when the record is played. And during the process of manufacturing records, the quality will vary depending on how early or late in the stamping process your record is made. The stamper wears down over time. And you won't have any idea when you purchase it. Furthermore, songs at the beginning of a record will sound better than those at the end as the circle gets smaller and scrunchier. By the end of a record, things sound like crap. And none of this even addresses the main problem of scratches and skips and dust pops and lint that collects on the needle and warpage of the vinyl and on and on. Vinyl was always a problem and artists used to admit that it was a sucky format until they got old and their brains melted. Sure, for nostalgia, vinyl can be fun. But hi-res digital audio (24 bit at WHATEVER sample rate: 48, 96, 192) of remastered tapes is as good as it gets. And CD quality at 16bit 44.1kHz is next best. And with an awesome DAC, good luck even hearing the difference between CD-quality and hi-res. But throw on a record and within seconds you will hear pops and crackles and you should immediately be disgusted. The Earth is round, vinyl sucks, and Trump lost. Please stop arguing with reality. 🙂
