How did you get the back round screen so wide that not normal is it or was that on the original just not shown and is is like that on all new games or even SNES games?
sorry for the long awaited reply, been super busy and haven't even posted lately. her is a link to aspect ratios of the original NES games forums.nesdev.org/viewtopic.php?t=23885 I honestly am no an expert in emulators and screen capture programs. I ran with the native settings on OBS and FCEUX and what you see is a result. If you notice the very old footage of Mario 3 was stretched and looks different than my new footage. But you question is motivating me to look into making my game play footage look as good and original as possible thanks again.
If you use the power coon suit you can fly over the bricks and pipe and there is a 1 up on the other side. If you use a regular coon suit you will fall to your death.
This is a neat find. I just finished SM3 for the first time without looking anything up online, and I still never figured out what the music box does. Seems like it must be a powerful tool if that's the reward for squeezing through that secret area. Btw I find that jump + reverse holds more charge when pumping the P meter, rather than hard braking (where possible). Cheers!
My son and I really enjoyed playing this together. We beat Contra together before this one. It's been years ago but I definitely remember. Thanks for watching!
My wife's original still works great. Mine is packed away but it looked rough last time I saw it. My buddy bought this one from a Convention and only got a few plays before it died.
@@jmcglory12 The biggest grind of this game it the jump mechanic. Truely some parts are broken because of it. I would load a high jump code through game genie or go back a save state or two and get here with fire balls so you can take out the rocks.
i love how all villain`s moves looks like something a male stripper would do....the girlfriend`s excuse of being kidnapped sounds just as legit as princess`` peach
I know right! The question is they both worked hard to get her back so how is it fair that only one gets her. But I guess helping save your brothers love and getting his back at the the same time kicking the crap out a cult of bad guys goes with the territory for a Double Dragon. Maybe she's got a single friend...
I have read about this and I think my buddy did this and it didn't work. I will have to check. I'm putting in a new 72 pin today and will release the video.
My son and I did this together years ago and I found the footage. I remember playing this game over and over till we could get to the final boss with several extra lives. Trust me we failed alot along the way.
On a few versions of the game you could select difficulty besides beginner warrior and master. Easy medium and hard were available. I could beat it 1 player but struggled on 2 player as well never could beat it with 2 players either.
Brasso is perfectly acceptable in this scenario. People give it a bad rap because they would clean their dusty games with it and not completely clean it off. I used to use Brasso a lot back in the day, but only keep it on standby for use cases like this now.
I agree, they couldn't get more damaged than they already were. I'm going to clean the rest up and make a pile of worked and didn't work for the next video in this series. thanks for watching and welcome to the channel!
@@levelbylevelgaming2833 No problem! As for SIM City, it might help to take the battery out. Could be a corrupted save preventing it from booting. I had a copy of Mario Kart that was like that.
SIM City is deep issues man. took battery out no go. jumped broken traces still no go. But, the battery was the case with Mario paint and taking it out worked like as champ ru-vid.comycukAUqqv5A . That was a hot tip man, thanks.
on the dead carts i would go over all the solder joints with a little flux and fresh solder. might work. if it s a valuable game you might pull the rom chip and transplant it to a donor board. some time the super famicom games are cheaper if your looking for donor boards
have you ever tried Plastic X polish that will clean the pins and is less castic it works for polishing metals as well. it can be used to fix light scratches in dvds and cds as well says so on packege. you can find it in the automotive department the main use is to polish headlights but has other uses . i have cleaned the pins on some of my games with it and made a huge diffrence
I look forward to a whole series on these cartridges. Regarding seemingly dead games - Get a digital voltmeter with a continuity check & go through every pin to see if it connects to a chip pin. You'll want to check all solder points & might have to bridge breaks in the traces on the PCB. Unnecessary music is too loud. Also have an ending bit where you thank people for watching, Like Share Subscribe & don't take wooden nickels.
What will your next game be? I will put my suggestions here for easy finding. Armadillo The Flintstones: The Rescue of Dino & Hoppy Ducktales 1 and 2 Darkwing Duck
