Hey , Boss I have a 2019 amg gtc , I have been thinking about a new steering wheel with shift lights , what company did you use ? And are you doing an installation vid
I went with AskCarbon. I messaged them on IG and got everything customized down to the stitching. And yes I will for sure be doing an installation vid. It should be done this week takes like 25-30 days to fabricate and I ordered it 25 days ago so it should be any day now! GTC is awesome if you are on IG, shoot me a dm @FreshRoots we have a C190 owners group
Don't do it dude. I have this same year/make/model. The car is a masterpiece. Adding a widebody kit will take away the lines and take away the luxury feel of the car.
Higher octane means the fuel is harder to combust. At higher cylinder pressures low octane fuel can ignite prematurely from the pressure similar to a diesel. If it ignites too early the initial combustion can try to spin your engine backwards a bit causing engine knock.
Man thank you so much for that insight! I’m tuned for 91 here where I live I wish I at least had 93! Maybe in the future I’ll upgrade the fuel system and be able to run a blend but it’s pricey
I have a wing and an active aero wing that pops up over 45mph to help the car feel more stable at higher speeds. You can actually feel the car get hunkered down and glued to the ground from the aero doing its job and creating air flow to push the car down. I also have an upgraded diffuser and sideskirts to help keep the car stable at higher speeds. It is a night and day difference from before having them the car would feel like a feather at higher speeds, it is much better now!
Just got a 2016 amg gts 3 months ago but been at the shop. Diff became bad and had to replace to whole unit including the transmission. Cool car worth the money. I have an f90 m5 too. Two different cars.
@@FreshRootsExoticCars dealership covered it and they negotiated it to 20k. So if one item breaks the common practice is they replace the whole unit which includes the differential. My diff would making a ticking bomb noise till it kicked the car in neutral. It also did rough shifting randomly. These DCT’s are in the ford gt and a handful of Ferraris. Legit but I’ve met people that have replaced the DCT at least once. I got a GTR kit too.
@@slickstah510 I have heard of that issue before, from my understanding it was such an issue that MB issued a recall. My car had its driveshaft replaced under recall in 2018. So far I’ve been blessed with no issues but I have a pal that has the same problem and his car did not have the recall work done. I hope to never deal with a transmission issue though they are a pain and I know they are expensive. I’ve considered getting an extended warranty on my car just for the engine and transmission so I don’t have to worry about it.
PTG offers an upgraded fuel system and on the fly map switching for running E85 or a blend you can change it on an ap they developed it’s pretty wild they were telling me the constraint on power is the fuel even on 93. I’m not planning to do it myself but the guys that have done it are pushing over 1k hp on this platform. It requires an upgraded clutch and their own rods with the optional upgraded cooling system if you want to push even more than 1k hp. It’s wild
@@Daniel-xb4yb There is no Webster definition, but to me an exotic has a high performance engine, is limited production, has exceptional engineering, a luxurious interior, etc. The GT platform uses an engine code named M178. It's such a good twin turbo platform that Aston Martin uses the same exact AMG built engine in the new Vantage. I've owned and driven a lot of supercars and exotics and trust me when I tell you the GT platform is special and it has its place at the table.
@@FreshRootsExoticCarsI thought your video on the w1 was great! A little repetitive but that’s ok. Th w1 is an absolutely wild car. 1250 hp to the rear wheels is no joke. I wonder what would happen if mad Mike got his hands on one of these…
@@McLarenSennaLover I agree!! Yeah this next batch of the Holy Trinity is going to be madness. I can't imagine Ferrari and Porsche releasing anything less than 1k HP too so it is just getting crazy at this point! Thanks for checking out the videos! I'm trying to bring some good content out there daily that's my goal!
yah bro, same thing and i'm up in LA.... stupid a mofos will park next to you for the F of it and it don't matter what kind of vehicle you have.... they just love to do it, total a-holes
@@collinjohnson4096 I do have that experience with Beamers and I'll never buy another again. I own this and a 2008 E50 with 200k miles and its as smooth as can be with no engine or mechanical problems. A lot of electrical sensors and stuff will go out on Mercs because they don't make them in house they source from suppliers but an AMG hand built engine is usually pretty solid if maintained properly!
It’s like $2500 right now, I paid like $3k at the time 🤦♂️ but they took care of me on my stage 2 tune, and yeah upland Mercedes new location is off of Utica can get you squared away. Andy’s the owner just tell him Fresh Roots sent you!
