My grandfather is buried at the old mission. Vincente Olivares. We gotta get radical. They give us religion and up end our Graves. Disney world is built on a grave yard. Remember that.
I grew up with an Andy Neiblas a few freeway exits away from there. Always knew about the cemetery, and knew that it was tricky to find. Had never been to it till today and saw that it was closed forever. Super lame.
J. Just saw your comment. Don't visit my channel comments often. The great news is the protest worked! The management was transferred to the diocese (away from the mission). The cemetery is still operating and burials taking place. The gate is always locked because it is considered a private cemetery. Accessible to relatives by contacting the cemetery manager, Jerry Nieblas. Open to public every year for a remembrance mass held close to All Souls Day in Nov. Join us next fall. It's always a beautiful event that draws hundreds of people, followed by a lunch gathering at the Blas Adobe. This year the Bishop of OC presided and visited for the first time. Quite an honor. We were able to show him how well cared for and managed the cemetery is now. The Eagle Scouts have been involved as volunteers working on many great projects. I'll have an updated video published soon. Linda
The value of the piece should be determined by the creator and the receiver. As soon as tribal rights and MONEY become factors, the whole purpose of NA art is forgotten. Sharing and healing take a backseat to licensing and greed. 🥺 Once again.

Hi bless your heart for rescueing these wonderful birds.I have allways been raised around birds growing up.my mom had alot of birds she was calling the bird lady.I have a yellow nape Amazon parrot he is 26 years young I hand fed him as a baby and I will have him my whole life time.
I hate going to tourist traps and seeing native style pottery, dream catchers, etc., that have been made overseas. Why buy that crap? It’s overpriced, too.
Dear Linda, this is really an extremely interesting video for me because of the two cantors singing there. I am an ethnomusicologist from Prague and would like to use it in an exhibition. Please could you write me on my e-mail veronika.seidlova@gmail.com? Thank you very much in advance.
So ridiculous. To this day these morons who bought the fun zone did not do anything they said they were going to do. They don't even have nautical museum exhibits anymore. Just a place for the rich and bored to throw money on and piss on all the balboa history. Got rid of the merry go round, now the Ferris wheel will be going soon. They have no idea how rare the rides are too, including the laughing sal they sold. They could at least had a room that had her in a box like in San Francisco. Stupid ignorant people. No appreciation for history or theme parks.
Gosh, she truly looks awfully sad here :-( I can easily see her spirit and health bc I look past outward appearance which is often inaccurate in judging inner physical and mental health. But even so what I see here is deep sadness. Perhaps this doesn't show a potentially more typical happy spirit but if she is indeed happy then why post her being sad. I would love to see more of her and to hear any updates. Thanks so much. She's got kind people whom she cares for. Thank you.
Just an update. The carousel wound up at Bishop's Pumpkin Farm in Wheatland. It seems to have found a terrific home. facebook.com/pages/Bishops-Pumpkin-Farm/109189822462280
Thank you so much for saving this sweet girl. So many think of budgies as disposable. :( My budgie had his leg amputated a month ago because of a tumor. Some people thought it was crazy to spend the money but he is family and my responsibility.
Totally agree, not crazy. This little girl made it thru her surgery and lived another year, but finally succumbed to the large hernia that made a bulge outside her tummy, comingling blood veins, fatty tissue and eventually leaky gut issues. She was a tiny package just bursting with love, affection and personality. I gladly spent what it took to help her recover. Lost her just a month ago and still can't stop crying.
I love to hear that Richard Dreyfuss is speaking out about civics and its importance in this great republic. I had a civics teacher in high school who was a world war II veteran and he understood the importance of it very well. I could see the conviction in his eyes and hear it in his voice. He was a quiet man of small stature but he made a great impression on my life. He was wounded in the Battle of the Bulge in 1944, I'll never forget him or his lessons.
The pink tummy bump is the result of a hernia. She tried to have a baby bird last year, it got stuck (egg binding). She had to have an operation to remove it to save her life. Straining too hard caused hernia. This year she had two deformed rocks, not really eggs, stuck inside. Avian vet decided she had to have a hesterectomy to keep her safe and alive. The tummy bump was huge challenge for doctors to get inside for operation. She came thru, healed completely and has super birdie energy! Luv!
Stuart, Kela says Hi! This little girl had a hesterectomy the next day. She had egg binding two seasons in a row so the vet decided to operate. Egg binding is extremely dangerous for these little girls and often fatal. Also common in cockateils. We have the best avian vet on the planet here in Southern California. She is has her birdie zippidy doo dah attitude back and is just as happy as can be.
