stroke volume increases during a positive pressure mechanical breath, it does not decrease

No, stroke volume increases during inspiration (positive pressure), but finnally decreases during expiration (due to drop RV preload)

Great video. Although I don't see how a likelihood ratio can be an odds (nominator and denominator do not add up to 1 ?

But is t sensitivity used to rule in and vice versa for specifity? Thank you anyways
@baderrmn
@baderrmn 6 лет назад
in the -ve predictive value slide you wrote FN/(TN+FN) and in your calculation you divided the TN=82 not the FN=4 !! also in the effect of prevalence slide there are many mistakes 1st the specificity is = 93.3% not 96% 2nd the NPV according to your last slid it is equal to 37.8% not 62%

How do you decided whether to use the NICOM or Flo Trac for a given patient?
@ginaa3527
@ginaa3527 6 лет назад
Mamalama I believe if the patient has an A line you can use Flo Track compared to NICOM which is non invasive... they won't have an invasive line.
@bong6370

Mamalama...Gina A is right Flo Track requires an A-line to get your SVV, SVI, CO,CI results. But it will need a CVP line for SVR, SVRI. A good A-line is a must because if your A-Line is "positional", the results are not reliable. With NICOM, A-Line is not required. Prepping the skin is an absolute necessity for NICOM.

Well the EV1000 (flotrac) also has a noninvasive option called Clearsight that is pretty awesome.
