While I know it isn't realeased yet, that is going to be a 'downgrade' to the R3 Pro, I assume? I am working to get my company on board to get an R3 Pro with M350 Drone, SLAM and Mobile mount soon.
So, how do you change to the intensity view? The whole reason I found this video was to find out how to open the intensity view, and the video skips that detail, arg!
Why reinvent the wheel? There must already be an image file from the flights, as well as a geolocation for each image. That's all you need to make an ortho in a number of photogrammetry software apps. Your choice. Besides, Rock does not take too well to feedback. My direct experience. What they say is mostly marketing bs, especially if you haven't purchased anything yet. Anyone want to develop a web search engine from scratch? I didn't think so. Or like GM trying to catch up to Tesla. Good luck.
Has anyone compared Rock Cloud and Airworks? We use airworks for our 2D Planiametrics but I'm always looking to compare similar products. We upload the Orthomosaic with the densified point cloud to airworks and the turnaround time is about 8 days. Does anyone know the turnaround time and cost per acre for Rock Cloud?
I planned my mission at home just like this, but when I got to the field it said that I had to have RTK turned on. I thought that it should be able to fly the mission based on the map it just uploaded. ???
Whats the pricing here? Is this an entry level unit, enterprise solution or something in between?would rather not give out my info if it not even the use case for us. Product looks cool though 🔥
Harrison, how can I get a surfaced model of all this "geo" out of Rock Cloud? Is there a .obj or .fbx export, or for CAD can we get a .igs or .step out of Rock Cloud? Without being able to actually export polygons, as cool as this is, it does me no good.
I was getting an error while trying to fill out the form to submit my question. What exactly is slam, in reference to the main unit? What is the total cost of the unit, slam and mount? Thank you.
Im sceptical. Why is there no low level 3d fly through of the end product? Its all only top down. Guessing the sides of the buildings and objects are terrible.
Billing the client 30k is great. Without stating expenses on the particular project, that statement/video is bs. If you're expenses were 29k, you just spent 3 days, making $33/day. Now, if your expenses were 20k, then it's worth it. Your company is probably great, honest and helpful. But videos like this are a complete joke, and a marketing tactic, until P&L are explained.
Isn't Your Raw Data File your Notebook??? A RAW Data File with a Drone Photogrammetry gives a complete picture of the Work Provided...Also...What's wrong with using your Data Collector for your field book??? It's a much more complete tool for Data Recording...
