Wish you showed how you laid the paper to the lantern. Did you need another person to help you? Did you have to trim your painting to fit a flat piece of paper over a sphere? Did you have to overlap the paper? It turned out beautifully, but I would need much more guidance.
Yes. I agree with you. Actually I did record the details about how to apply the rice paper on, but the file got damaged. However, I have another lantern to work on.
I want to start at the beginning and learn the skills. I do not see which videos are numbers 1 to 5. You are a great teacher the way you break down the steps completely.

Hi, may I ask / understand the reason why some f the drawings or painting (such as the carrots and red peppers) you draw black lines to circle out (or draw out the shape) but some vegetables such as the tomatoes and eggplants, there's no need for black lines to be drawn to draw the shape ? Thanks.
@@ShuoArt Thank you for replying. In other words, there's no fixed rules or ways on how one can paint an object in Chinese painting as long as it (the final artwork) looks like the subject matter .

Thank you so much! You are the only one who taught how to not only use the brush but also how to add the gradation so well. I was struggling watching people teach how to draw a fish and how much ink to add on the brush and it wasn’t helpful cuz they just drew and didn’t explain. Not sure why they said learn how to draw a fish when they don’t explain how to draw one and just paint which was not helpful at all! Yours was very helpful and very good teacher!! Thank you!
