Home of the podcast series 'Behind The Dub' where I talk to voice actors about the industry. I also do videos about the dinosaur metal band Hevisaurus and all its incarnations.
this incident overall makes me quite sad whenever i think about it. Hevisaurus may be doing pretty well to this day, with a movie, musical, an exceptionally well performing german counterpart, and so on, but thinking about this point in their past makes it feel... partially sour. Mirka was one of the biggest "beating hearts" of the band and now that hes gone it feels a bit... eerie, especially knowing now that Sony has successfully done exactly what he didn't want. i dunno, i could be over-dramatizing things, it's not like the band is *dead* or anything, and Nino Laurenne has been staying pretty strong in the band throughout it all. i've been loving his work in general. that bit about Mirka claiming to be the sole creator of the Hevisaurus world and Olavi coming out to say otherwise felt... a bit weird, though. i won't say it was malicious on Mirka's end, i understand what he was trying to express- that it felt like Sony was taking away his hard work and creative freedom (even if it was contractual), but at the same time it just felt a bit sad to hear that. i can only imagine how much this tore the band apart and it really says a lot (in a good way) about the members who managed to stay with the band after all these years even after the incident.
A great compliment to relax Jason so much that he's praising you :) and clearly you're able to stay on track with well prepared and thought out questions
I agree flight prices are kinda silly these days, though everyone is welcome at Hevisaurus concerts, I've never felt that I stood out too much comparatively to my usual social awkwardness!
I love that these musicians just took it upon themselves to make great hard rock/metal music for both children and adults alike, this proves that metal can be anything you want to make it into. They're incredibly wholesome. And they actually perform on stage! RÄYH! 🤘
personally for me, "hey, ho, hungo-bungo"(?) is a questionable replacement, i feel like they couldve gotten by with just keeping the original "ooh, ah, ugala bugala" chant. i dunno, it just flows better. either way i do still appreciate their english song clips a lot as an american fan❤️
This song sounds great with the orchestra omg! As a former cello player who’s been in countless orchestras, I love this way too much and wish I was there 🤘❤️
Makes you wonder if it was the music company's marketing department that dropped the ball, rather than the band, on the video upload? Also, digging the 'head in hands' png
By the way, about the moment at 40:40 and how the sound designer achieved this effect - he even created a video about it, which may be useful for Mathew! (if he hasn't seen it yet, of course) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZsntjCNn3jU.html
so thats why the kobold player model mod is taking so long to have an update, that was the first pod-cast I ever listened through and will probably be the best I'll ever heard smooth conversation from start to finish, if I could only take one mod with me not counting quality of life it would be this one, this mod single handedly saved me and my friends from burning out of this game, finaly gone through my first thousand hour and I can say with confidents that this mod deserve more attention for all the love and the care because at the end its mostly a passion project that as gone for a wild ride... AND I'M ALL HERE FOR IT GOLD AND SCALES ⛏ !!!
I love those animations, especially Return to Crocodile Isle! It’s such a good short and I’m so glad so many of the actors from the cartoon were able to reprise their roles to give some of the best performances they have as their characters.
Yes it is! I've also heard that there should be some new music coming from them next year, I will be making more 'Saurus content when I have more to talk about!
