The NHRA rules on suspension for this class are: Each car in this section must have a full production-type suspension system; one commonly used by automobile manufacturer, and equipped with at least one hydraulic shock absorber per wheel. Rigid mounted axles are not permitted. Excessive chopping and/or machining of component chassis and suspension parts is prohibited.
@@teresathornbury9874 a lot of them had straight axles but they were not a requirement the reason a lot of them ran straight axles is because they were the lighter and stronger than the original IFS suspension at the time was but they were not mandatory…… and I hate to break it to you but a lot of cars from that time period had factory IFS to include that model
