Prs bridge setups are designed to float😂 thats why the 6 screw hokes are beveled on thr bottom and each screw has a ring cut in the shaft under the screw head, tge beveked holes act as a blade edge for the rings in all 6 screws to sit in, the prs bridge is desighned to float completely at 1/16" over the body and be synchronized betweeen string and spring tension to keep it at 1/16" over the body, its basically a non locking 6 post floyd rose and when set properly u can use the wammy up or down and it stays in tune perfectly,i set my prs full brass setup exactly as i stated only with the tail end slightly higher at 3/32" with ernie ball power slinky 11 guage strings and my rig stats in tune better than my previouse eig witch was the same exact setup only with an original floyde rose. I use the solid brass prs 25.5 scale with a ibanez 170 style custom body with a jackson style neck, american basswood body with baked on nitro lacquer finish, emg 81/85, jumbo frets, and staggered tunders, plastic nut, and ernie ball power slinky 11s amd its the bees knees
Every time I hear Rush my brain heals. Thank you Mr Alex Lifeson for sharing your creation you are certainly one of my favorite guitar players of all time.
As a 55 year old guitar player song writer you are a great influence to me pure talent all three of you shaped a generation well more than one thank you.
Graham plays this song in a simple Drop D tuning which was not told.....tune top E 6th string to a D and don`t forget to use your thumb on 6th string....watch video and get the thumb how its used....ok.....dark cloud....canada
What makes this even more special is that if this was just a normal youtuber that could play guitar and did a great job showing us how to play it, we'd say " that was awesome man thanks." The fact that Alex Lifeson himself took the time to show us these parts in his unique humble way proves what an incredible person he is
I was fortunate enough to see Elvis perform live at the National Theatre on Feb 6, 1956. He did four shows that day. Elvis opened the show doing Mystery Train and I loved Scotty's guitar sound on that song. I watched Scotty more than I did Elvis. After that show I new I wanted to learn guitar and play all of the Sun recording's. I was 13 years old by the time I was 15 I had learned most of Elvis's Sun recording's. Thank you Scotty Moore for inspiring me to play guitar. RIP my friend!
I just came across this video from one of my all-time favorite guitarists. Jeff’s outro solos are more structured and melodic than most people’s main solos. My all time favorite solo by him is from “Like No Other Night”, which I’ve been trying to perfect since about 1984! Every time I think I’ve nailed it, I’ll hear the song and go “ oh wait, he’s doing that there instead of this”! Plus he seems like a good guy..I remember he and Don Barnes from a radio interview they did on K-SHE95 in St. Louis around 1978. He mentioned another of his favorite guitarists, Barry Bailey from ARS, in this video…I wonder if his Gold Top is a nod to him…
so thankful Ged hit the record button, so we could learn what the hell was that , {no alex what you just played what was it? can you do it again ?... } alex replys what? what i did , i dunno what it was. what are you talking about ged? on behalf of rush fans everywhere thank you guys for being yourselves. and being creative

You should be really proud of this song - it’s a MASTERPIECE! one more thing - You didn’t have to do this but you’re so good and also so humble! THANK YOU! You’ve enriched so many lives with your music and your brain! 🫡🫡🫡🫡
@ 32:08... Alex and Geddy do this run together, the second time around. Why is Alex starting the descending fill on C, and not D? Pretty sure Geddy starts both the first AND second fills on D. How nice of someone to remove the audio throughout this section. 🤦
