the only - point with stemme is that u cant launch via aerotow or winch... so if the engine wont run there is no way u get to fly... also way higher maintenance for it cause u have more moving parts... and a motor that isnt just for it can start on its own but it has so u cant ignore the motor if u dont need it

"It just takes 5 seconds to pass from glider mode to engine mode. You just have to lift up the lever, push and switch on and that's it.! " No that is not it. If say you have been at altitude say 15,000 ft (USA) on a very hot day at ground level, your engine could be nearly 1 degree C, in other words really cold. It can take more than 3 minutes to get the engine warm enough to operate. It will not deliver power if cold. A pilot must plan ahead for that and a lot can happen if you think you can just always rely on your engine. Less salesmanship would have been better, eg smoke coming from the wing tips. What does that prove ?

Not about thermals or wind. Totally about kinetic energy.
