This is a collection of some of my original soundtrack theme tunes, Dance Music, Extended versions & Comedy tracks, many of which were not available on youtube beforehand.
Unfortunately the cartoon videos have been removed as they are not allowed. (The US TV themes went the same way)
Currently uploading Classic BBC radio themes and classic UK TV themes.
Thanks to all that have rated, commented and subscribed, and apologies to all who subscribed to the cartoons.
After 40+ years a fan of Van Der Graaf Generator, I only just now learned Theme One was based on this. (not from the UK, I didn't know of BBC's Theme One)
I saw this version when it was released at a movie house here in NYC that no longer exists. The 57th St Playhouse. I bought the album following the film.
I used to listen to BBC Radio Newsreel as a child in British East Africa, and I have very fond memories of that time. Now, I am one of the few remaining individuals to have a real-time memory of our Imperial Echoes.
Dickie Davies is as far as I'm concerned an ambassador of itv sport..to me he's a godfather..a legacy that will struggle to match.. Despite that c** soccer hiccup in 95.
My dad used to force us to listen to this on the long trip to his place whilst suffering from car sickness brought on by the leaky diesel can he kept in his boot. Prick.
This was my daily "wake up now". The "welcome to Radio 4, shipping forecast and News Briefing" is not the same as the Radio 4 UK Theme. Bring it back tomorrow BBC.
Being in cosy bed with my partner we loved this , He has passed on to a better place . Don’t take for granted the good people beside you because when there gone it’s hard to replace them .
Rosemary Squires was the lady who sang over a thousand advertising jingles, including 'Now hands that do dishes can feel as soft as your face, with mild green Fairy Liquid.
This just makes me think of the old days long ago when life was peaceful easy & slower, I hear it most nights & it will even wake me up if I’ve dropped off before hand. It also reminds me of my older brother who passed away in 2021 I made him listen to it one night & he couldn’t get over how he’d never heard it before but could then never forget it. Lovely days gone by.
I’m listening because I just read about this program. I grew up in Brooklyn in the 1950s, so no nostalgia here. Still, it’s fun to hear this and read other’s’ memories.
