William Crighton's music is a fusion of traditional and unexpected experimentation, his songs exploring vivid stories across colourful themes and musical manifestations.
From tales of murder and suicide to love and euphoric conversations with ants. A child in awe of nature William is now a passionate environmentalist working against environmental destruction both on the ground and through his music.
Crighton’s music is not sculpted to fit fad or trend. He and his family, by blood and by song, are genuinely travelling a different track, jump on if you care to experience it.
“Crighton looks like a bushranger and sings like a sage” - Henry Wagons, Double J
3:30 Only came across this singer by mistake but hell he is one great Aussie singer and he has been touring with another great band called dead South I found by mistake watching you tube. 3:30
Come to Türkiye or anywhere near😭 This storytelling is sending me to another universe. I live for the nonchalant attitude yet deeply interlaced fingerprints of his musical excellence. Somehow he sounds familiar and spontaneous yet his skills are unmatched. He acted with his wife so he doesn't shy away from showing his life too. I truely admire this man.
@@gillcaney8663 thank you very much Gill 👍 I saw William in London supporting Midnight Oil in London last year and enjoyed listening ever since. Thanks again! x
Beautiful song, beautiful setting, certainly a place to feel Killara! This song never fails to get to me, it's one of your best William, so much passion and with Julieanne supplying the wonderous yet haunting vocals to accompany your words it is a Masterpiece. The story it tells is horrific but of course history tells us the atrocities of the British when they moved onto new colonies, Australia no different than Patagonia and many others. Can you confirm that Mary was indeed Mary Wade, the youngest convict to ever be sent to our colonies here or is that just pure coincidence?? One day when I get to the Watagan's I will hear Killara through the leaves and the running waters, I will also hear you both, too!
Thank you William for your wonderful music. This is a very moving song, shot beautifully in the Watagan Mountains. Looking forward to seeing you on March 24 😊
What a great voice! If I remember correctly, he played this when he was supporting Midnight Oil last summer. He didn't even need a microphone to make himself heard.
Ui, been waiting for that one to get a Video. What a massive Song. When you opened for the Oils in Leipzig with this Song, it gave me goosebumps. What a magnificent piece of storytelling. William, judging by the Sound of that tune and the topic. Is it an old Songs? Musically it fits your first Album.
