Great tutorial with minimal ads. Thanks. Wee question…best method for getting creasing out after turning bags? I hate the way they look after turning. Hair drier does nothing for my bags. Thanks again x
I enjoyed watching your tutorial. Very easy to follow. May I suggest you add a bit of light to where you are sewing to show more of the needle and sewing foot. It does help to see the pieces being stitched together. I really liked how the pouch was easy to sew. Very nice!
WOW I love the way you sewed the curves! Curves are my nemesis! lol I’m so happy I found this video as I was feeling a little intimidated with this one, but you explained everything so well! Thank you!
Enjoyed your video. Thanks for making it! Seriously wanting to purchase this machine. Are you still happy with your choice, and do you like the pedestal type stand?
You’re welcome! I am still happy with it but unfortunately it’s hard for me to use because I’m under 5’ tall. That being said, they are making the pedestal shorter now and my only regret is not waiting a bit longer to buy it because if I had the shorter pedestal I could absolutely use it more! If I want to use it the only way I can is standing 😭 which is soooo tough for me.
Ashley, you are without a doubt, the BEST sewing instructor I have watched on RU-vid! I am a lifelong seamstress of both clothing and craft items. (Sewing for 67 years so far.) I explained that to encourage you. One suggestion that I have is that you consider doing a close up shot of all of the hardware you will be using, before you start. I would print the names on paper and place each corresponding item under its name. In order to, individually, identifying what everything is. Then as you explain what you are about to do, everyone will remember what the different components are. By doing it at the beginning. You wouldn’t have to readjust your camera every time you pick up an item of hardware to identify it. I know how to install rivets. But I was confused when you said that you were going to screw one in. It was at the end of this video. I’m only aware of the type that has a male and female side, that are squeezed together tightly. Thank you, very much for taking the time to make your excellent videos! I wasted no time Subscribing and ‘Liking!’ I am definitely looking forward to watching videos that you already have available, and those yet to be made! You are very talented, and it’s kind of you to want to help others! God bless you for that! I’m looking forward to learning from you, and seeing things that I would also enjoy making. I appreciated the fact that even though you were primarily using a pattern that someone else designed, you modified it as you chose. And you gave good explanations for why you recommended doing something a certain way. You are a very good teacher!
Thank you so much for your kind words!! This is definitely an older video so I have changed some things about my tutorials over the past year, hopefully for the better 🥰 I like your suggestion for the hardware! I’ll definitely give it a shot!
Yessss! I’m so happy you said that! I was really worried about shipping with the horns so we made sure to print the section that has the horns EXTRA STRONG so they hopefully wouldn’t break in shipping 🥰
Wow! The combination of fabrics is wonderful - including the pocket lining. You did amazing. This was a very good tutorial. One thing though, don’t tell people not to look at your floor - honestly, I was looking at what you were doing and didn’t notice your floor until you mentioned it. Great job though.
Thanks Ashley for the great video. I just wish everyone on YT would put out videos like you have. I get so tired of the giggling, non-stop chatting, playing with the cat, unorganized video posters. I say to myself “get to the damn point already”. You’re a refreshing change.
Thank you so much 🥰 I know many youtubers choose to do live videos because editing is really a time consuming chore to say the least. But live isn’t always realistic for me. I have way too many kids and feel really bad telling them they have to stay out or be quiet if I’m live 🤣 at least if I pre-record I can just edit them right out.
That was so much fun watching this. I'm considering getting this one and I'm already imagining how much beeping I would have to do with a video like this. It would probably be just one long beep.
the hidden connectors I just cut any random length. I think I ended up going with 6" long. And then depending on the size hardware you are using you'll adjust the width. For this one I used 3/4" hardware that the pattern called for so I cut my connectors 1.5" wide and then drew a line down the center and folded the long edges in to the line :)
I'm always so fascinated with what you do......I can sew a button back on clothing but that's where it ends!😝 I watch your videos because they are so calming...haha...I know,, weird!
flare the base out a bit further up the bag and place clips on either side and then go back to sew your boxed corners. That should help your boxing not get that wonky bow. I know exactly what you are talking about! Hopefully I explained that well.
