Great Video. I just did mine today with some Alpines. Also got everything from crutchfield. All I can add to the video is that it'll save people a lot of time if they skip trying to remove those harnesses for the window and locks. You can still do everything without taking the door card off completely. Just need to have something underneath to help keep it from dangling like what you had.
Camaro has the perfect balance of low but practical. Everyone else has theirs to the ground and I don’t understand why. You’re still driving a street car so keep the suspension for the streets. Not the race track.
Great video! It APPEARS that the adapter is a 6x9 hole. Do you think you could have installed a 6x9 speaker instead of the 6.5"? How much depth was behind the speaker?
I think I could have installed a 6x9 instead of a 6.5. There was quite a bit of depth behind the speaker due to the adapter adding a little more space. A possible issue with the 6x9 speaker may be that the door grill design blocks the sound. Hope this helps!
Wow I like the set up. 👍🏼👍🏼 I have 2017 370z chicane yellow same wheels. and it's my daily drive. So you install swift spring and 25mm front and 30mm rear spacer right? Your set up? Coz right now waiting to upgrade my OEM spoiler to V1 spoiler then lowering spring and spacer maybe.
Yes, lowered on swift springs! In this video I have 20mm spacers all around but currently (2024) I have changed it to 30mm in the front and 25mm in the rear and I prefer that over 20mm all around.
@@cherrycitylive hi thank you, right now i'm debating if I go with the spacer or just buy a new wheel set up coz sometimes I do burnout/ do donut just for fan😅 thanks Again for the reply❤️🙏🏻
@@cherrycitylive 😅😅 me too! not much option specially for Yellow Z it's hard to match or I like. but I like more concave design than deep dish design. Your Z is white most of wheel design will be dope👍🏼 deepdish or concave. Can't wait to see your build. 👍🏼
I think either way you'd need an adapter because buying the speakers alone didn't come with wiring. The door speaker adapter was easier than most to install due to only needing to be plugged in and not spliced into. In another case, I had an adapter for my dash speakers, but I unfortunately still needed to splice into the speaker wires.
Of all the cars I’ve owned, My 2013 Z was the best. Never drifted it. But many challenged me on the freeway. They were all sorry they did. 👍🏼💫 I miss it. I only let it go due to a financial bad patch I went through. But I miss it sooooo much. 😞😞😞.
Yea! I debated both but overall I wanted to be able to see the Z logo when off and the blacked out morimotos seemed to hide the Z logo unless blinking.
In my opinion, it handles well and has a noticeable difference over stock. I had camber arms but they made too much noise so I haven’t run them in a while. When investigating the camber noise, I had also taken off the spacers and springs. When I did, I immediately noticed a difference in handling and ride height and wanted my springs back. So now I run the springs and spacers without the arms and I prefer it. I usually retorque my spacers any chance I remember to but haven’t really had any issues or reasons to. Hope this helps!
