This guy is a hero. We need to promote more heroes in society. This gentleman put himself through school. Is doing something that he loves and is passionate about. What he is doing is changing the world. Plus he is bringing comfort. Also he appears to be a good husband and a father. And this gentleman knows how to balance work with play! Amazing! What a hero! I would be friends with this gentleman any day. Thank you good Sir!

It is a very challenging and competitive field, I would recommend that you develop yourself as person and stay opened to many possibilities as you will find that when you mature, your interests will expand. Just get into a decent college and follow your curiosity.

Everyday I question why am I doing what I'm doing. I still absolutely love immunology and even more after this Pandemic, idk wtf am i going to do with my life at this point, idk why am i not following my passion, idk anything. Revisiting this comment and replying to your question really hit me so hard in the face..... hopefully when i reply here next time the things will be a lot different... for the better.

I'm really into Human biology & I like doing math, but I never wanted to become a doctor, I just can't imagine myself there. I like doing things more handy, coming up with new ideas , solving problems are my favorite kinda things to do. So , when I first came across the term " Biomedical Engineering " I just felt like THIS IS IT !! I'm about to apply as an UNDERGRADUATE . Now I can not decide should I go for Mechanical engineering or Biomedical Engineering ( for Bachelor ) ?? cause tbh I'm kinda afraid with the career paths :( PLEASE GIVE ME SOME ADVICE IF YOU CAN ANYHOW RELATE 🙏🙏🙏😓

Honestly, apply ME as your undergraduate career and then go to Masters and make Biomedical as your graduate career. ME is one of the main disciplines of Engineering and the good thing is you can always back and focus to do ME as your job if you struggle to find job as a biomedical engineer. Just a opinion from a junior ME student.

That is awesome guys, believe it or not, I have wanted to be an engineer since I was 7! I didn't know what it was called, but I knew I wanted to invent and innovate solutions for the world's problems through technology. I am a senior Mechanical Engineering major at Texas Tech University and have 3 semesters left! Super excited to work in the engineering field. I hope to get my masters in Biomedical Engineering as well.

I studied chemical engineering and did masters in biomedical, it was the worst career mistake ever. My advice to you is to stay away from biomedical. You can go further with chemical or electrical engineering. People don’t know wtf a biomedical engineering. Biomedical, bioengineering, are like jack of all trades and master or none. The curriculums are not standardized like traditional engineering so people don’t know what you studied. It’s not worth it.

Can't blame the scientist for having a strong passion for his work (most people don't). Plus, its not like he's out flashing his pricey Bugatti with imported Brazilian mahogany - he's upbeat and confident attitude is warranted here - IMAO.
