... more likely the Koenigsegg´s and Pagani´s i´d say.... Haven´t heard anything in 30 years inside this hobby, that can match Aries Cerat gear in terms of realism and naturally sounds. It actually exceed´s the term "music reproduction" even though it obviously is exactly that. Pure music + perfect overall balance 🤙
tastes and colors ... It´s not about liking the music or not, which btw is impossible to serve for everybody at once. it´s about hearing what a music system is capable of when reproducing the most difficult sounds, which are always real instruments and voices
Whoa... serious high-end... Could you fit a pair of them into Hi-Fi Pig H.Q., Stu? Oof!! Thannks for another interesting interview. Hope you & Lin are in fine health; all the best from Ptk in Japan.
The music audio world is still so far behind, how many products at Munich High End would’ve been even capable of playing multichannel music, probably only one, Eversolo DMP 6
p.s. Great that the prices, as you say, are real world and attainable for a much larger number of audiphile/hi-fi enthusiasts... Cheers for the video, Stu. Hope you & Lin are doing fine. Ptk. x
Wow, that new Java amp looks stunning.... Hope you had a great time in Munich, Stu.... like being in the biggest audio component toy-shop in the world... #HEAVEN
@@hifipigTv I don't either, as I'm not an electrical enginerr, (I'm mechanical), but I have a really good set of Voodoo aes/ebu cables from my transport to my DAC and I could immediately hear a big difference from optical... and a wee bit better than s/pdif... Hope you had a great time. I'd have loved to been there...!
@@hifipigTv ANOK4U2, mate! Have you heard the remastered Flux & A. Anxiety 12" singles that recently came out? Phoo! Stunning, goosebump time all over again!
Great video. Did I see a bunch of photos for them that you two did? I recognize the photo style. =) Thanks for the coverage!! I wish I was able to get over there - Maybe next year. I need to save my pennies.. I have ALL this new gear to buy ..and I still want to travel for shows.. lol .. Damn hobby.. =) <3
I am old school and believe that a tube preamp is the way to go for 3D imaging. If you can afford tube amps that is the icing on the cake. Finally at the age of 63 I finally have both and with 2 mono block amps. I still run my vintage Clements RT7 speakers with 7' ribbon with loaded bass freq response 23HZ - 40KHZ and have yet to here anything close as they are imaging monsters. Just because it's new doesn't mean it's better and/or hasn't been already invented.
Hi Stu & Lin, good to see you back. Great catch-up of the Munich show component, i.e., those amazing spkrs.! etc. All the very best from Japan, P. T.K.
Hi Stu, would it be possible to use a Fezz Audio Titania Integrated tube (KT88) amplifier with these Atalante 5 speakers? Will this amplifier have enough grunt to control these A5 speakers? Thanks.
One little problem has occured here for me. Since Elysians uses some good quality, but Scan-Speak drivers too by Denmark, at least in the woofer section for sure, so I do not understand why are we talking here in the Aura range about an in-house development, if it is rather not it anymore. Anyway I do <3 Wharfedales, but just in the Jade range for sure! Anyway, Peter were you sick during the interview? Your voice was way more Britsh than usual! If that so, get better soon! :)
I noticed at 6:39 Peter admits that he likes ribbon tweeters the best, although AMTs are "very close." That's interesting because he has designed speakers for Quad with ribbon tweeters (Z and Revela series), and the Wharfedale Elysians are considerably more expensive than those. I assume the Elysians are superior in everything except treble response?
@@hifipigTv when you buy new HiFi gear you have to take into consideration the company ethics, production base ( EU or UK…sorry Brexit). He seems to have a lovely character. Did you get a test of the new Rega Aya?
No we haven't tested it. I don't think anyone makes any secret of where these speakers are made. That buying decision is then down to the individual and the research they have done with regards their build quality. To add, now that Timberworkx in Sheffield have changed their operation, I feel a lot more UK speakers will need to be made elsewhere. @@gdwlaw5549
@@gdwlaw5549 Timberworx was a big independent maker of cabinets for numerous brands in the UK. They are still operating but my understanding is they only make cabs for one brand now with other brands having to use alternatives.
