I'm into Freshwater Aquariums, Planted Tanks, Tropical Fish and the Fresh Water Shrimp. Welcome to GarageAquatics2023. My name is Ron, and like so many others, I like to keep learning about the hobby and sharing what I've learned with the rest of you Tropical Fish Enthusiasts. Here in Palm Desert, California, there are challenges that keep it all interesting. It getts stupid hot! The relative can get down to . . . well lets just say there isn't any relative humidity a lot of times. I look forward to posting Videos and Shorts that will both entertain and maybe educate you by sharing what I know and what I've learned along the way. If it's my videos have done any of that, I hope you'll give a Like and SUBSCRIBE to my videos and channel. Tanks for lookin'!

Also can I use gravel to grow Amazon sword ?
@garageaquatics2023
@garageaquatics2023 5 часов назад
@@KavinPatel-cj3sh Yes you can, but remember there are no nutrients in sand or gravel. They are inert. If the tank is older and established there should be lots of mulm and detritis that's worked it's way down into the substrate which will provide nutrients for the plants. Remember Amazon sword plants are heavy feeders. If it's new sands and gravels there will be nothing to sustain the plants. You'd probably want to add some sort of root tab fertilizer in the root zone. Check out the video where I plant Amazon sword plants into pots using a sand and gravel mix. I add a piece of root tab into each pot as I plant each plant. Here's a link to the video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zxPV4UNb0tUh.htmlttps://ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zxPV4UNb0tUh.htmlttps://ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zxPV4UNb0tU.html I hope that helps, Kavin. Hey Steffan, when I first replied we were out of town in a hotel getting ready to go to Disneyland. But after sitting in front of the tank for a bit, I realized that it would be far too time consuming. As it stands, the leaves are at least still photosynthesizing.
