Well done Chris! Thanks for sharing your adventure. Which tires were you using? They look like 70/30 type. Do you think a more aggressive off road tire would’ve helped you on the Dempster? I’m planning a similar trip with a Vstrom 650 on 50/50 tires.
Hi Brian, thanks. I had the Dunlop Trailmax Mission tires. I think something more aggressive may have helped on the section from Inuvik to Tuktoyaktuk, but with more experience I think they are probably good enough. That set lasted just over 23500 KMs including over 2000 KMs of gravel., so I'm very impressed with them.
@@noelhenderson7337 I'm so jealous. It's such a fantastic place to ride. I'm surprised I didn't crash while trying to take it all in! I hope I'll be back there someday soon to see more.
Hi Chris. I went up the Cassiar with family in 97’ for my tour in Elmendorf AFB. The reason why they called Chicken …Chicken is, they couldn’t spell Ptarmigan … or so the story goes. Looking forward to watching more vids!
GOD sure is a wonderful craftsman. You've surely seen some gorgeous scenery on this trip! It's truly a first to hear of dust flattening a tire; now the caps truly make sense.
@@simonalway3367 excellent! I'm just editing a video now, which will be quite a long one, I think. It's the one where I fly up onto the Salmon Glacier and it will be out in a couple of weeks.
Rode a cross the bridge there in June, just after they resurfaced that section at the start. Must have been a week or so after you were there. Impressive bridge, and PEI is beautiful! Looking forward to watching the rest of your trip!
@@angeliqueherygers6083 that was a few weeks ago. I've been back for a while and just got new tires and an inspection on the bike yesterday. Next week I'm off to Newfoundland and Labrador to finish up my adventure.
@@angeliqueherygers6083I'd covered just over 23500 kms by the time I got home. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like I'll be able to make it down to Digby this weekend 😔
@@smoothride1000 yes, I'm home for a while to sort out a few things before, hopefully, going to Newfoundland and Labrador, weather permitting. No hurricanes please!
I'm in Petawawa now. Probably going to stay two nights, then back home. My inspection runs out in two days, but I figure I can get away with being a little late....
Years ago, my girlfriend and I were touring the northern peninsula of Newfoundland on my bike. Hard rain. As we were crossing a metal grate bridge, the car in front hit the brakes. My tires locked and I slammed into the back of him. Amazing how a metal grate can ruin a trip. Never mix dogs and alcohol. Lol
You know what like most about this series, aside from it raising awareness for Leukaemia and Lymphoma of course, is the fact that your doing it on a "little bike". I'm a huge fan of the little bikes, being one that travels all over on my 250L, so much respect and good on ya! I hope to do the TCAT in 2026 on my little bike. Cheers!
I believe I saw your CRF Rally parked at the McDonald's in Dryden, Ontario on Tuesday afternoon. I was passing by on mine after a local back road exploration, scoping out blueberry picking options. Nice to see someone doing big distances on one, they are such a versatile machine. Safe travels.
Congratulations on winning your battle with cancer. It was a good production and a lot of effort went into it, but,..... There was some interesting shots with a few changes of scenery, however, it became rather monotonous with tree lined paved road. You might consider breaking up your production from clips of various rides with landscape, towns, people, etc. A bit of dialog would help and I didn't like your choice of music, it doesn't fit the scenery or the road. The music reflects your generation, but your attempting to attract a bigger audience. You may want to review so of Itchy Boots production on her channel channel and listen to the selection of music for inspiration.
Hi Fixento, thank you, and thanks for your constructive criticism. I used different music than normal for this one. I'd be interested to hear what you think of some of the other videos. I'm very much learning as I go.
