Schecter PT has the same exact bridge as the LTD. Looks like all the same parts. I have the LTD version hanging on my wall and it came with a better setup, better frets and a more stable neck than the $900 Charvel Joe Duplantier signature I just filed a return on.
Thanks for the comment. If you look very closely at the bridges on the LTd TE-200DX and on the Schecter standard series PT, the bridge on the Schecter is clearly thicker. They are definitely a similar design but a little different. That is a bummer about the Charvel you tried out but cheers on the new LTD, I almost got one myself...
Looks awesome! Got my Ibanez RGDMS8 This summer for a great price. I'd rather have the finish of yours, but I was mainly looking for a proper multiscale 8-string with fishman fluence pickups so I could not pass on the opportunity to snatch one on sale because of a minor scratch in the lacquer.
Yeah money definitely talks, its nice to find things on sale. I got this Legator for a discounted price, lucky me, even though there's nothing wrong with the finish... I'm gonna google your guitar now...
@@MetalGuitarGuy like, the cutaway alone won’t get them sued so long as the headstock is different which they are. It’s just always frustrated me since you can get extremely well spec’d, modern Agile LPs but I can’t get over the shape.
@@GuitarGuy4647 I used to obsess over cutaways and headstocks too… Honestly now I think most brands do a good job except Jackson’s Monarkh shape, the cutaway definitely looks weird… 🤔
@@lordovthorn2747 nope, sorry, you’re wrong. I’ve already proved it’s possible with a 25.5 inch scale guitar…ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xQj3pFnN0h4.htmlsi=MkQSnlT2zy1WyMTO
what gauge are you using on the f on the 25.5"? this is a super useful video because i'd love to get down to g without having a baritone scale. thanks for making the guitars audible in the mix btw, a lot of youtubers are super frustrating because they'll say "i bet you can't tell the difference even though the settings and speaker are the same" then utterly and completely wash out and drown both tracks out with drums. it's fairly obvious which is which to me
@@Hyperlink1337 hey thanks! I used a 90 Gauge string. But I also had to have a bridge that would do the job. I recommend watching this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xQj3pFnN0h4.htmlsi=G24TV-KvIsjGezZ4 Some people say the guitars are muddy lol I guess not everyone hears the same… I also had to file the nut slots to the correct sizes for the strings… I am going to do a full setup video in the future but in my experience the amount of string tension also determines how far back the Saddle needs to go…
@@MetalGuitarGuy clarity and intonation aren't huge dealbreakers to me, but if you're going to play more modern stuff then you'll probably run into people that are more used to low tuned guitars sounding totally gutted of their mids and low end
@@chocolatecookie8571 Gotchya… I think that is cause most people prefer a longer scale length for 7 strings… I have seen a few 24.75 inch seven strings out there… 🤔
To my ear it's obvious, the baritone wins. It's the less muddy sounding in every comparison. I'm not entirely sure(1st listen, thru cell) you did the same switch pattern either
Hello mate! Looks nice and they're well installed but you're supposed to stretch the string as far and as tight as you can and only then lock it in place. The principle of the locking tuners is to have as few wounds around the post to prevent movement, if you do it right you can just do a quarter or a half turn to get them in tune.
@@IronDeadPumpkin well more mass=more sustain. That’s how I did it with the previous locking tuners and this guitar has always stayed in tune really well for not having an evertune… 🤔… thank you for your comment though.
@@IronDeadPumpkin I have never played a headless guitar, I am curious, Do you have a video to show the sustain of a headless guitar and a normal guitar side by side?
@@rybo0072 I think I had the gain up a little too high when I made the mix. I will adjust the gain comparing the baritone to this guitar in the video coming up. I think you will be surprised…
YAAAAAAAAAY AMON AMARTH for the WIN. Awesome bro. That guitar is sweet too. HAIL ODIN. See my Petri Dish Earth vids bro.. When I died and came back Odin showed me the truth of this world. CHanged my whole world. After getting my pacemaker I was walking my dog and I saw the Wild Hunt in the sky. I had NO IDEA what that was at the time. I thought Christianity was right. NOPE not even close. Odin made this world fromt he body of a frost giant. In my videos I show the skin of the giant is in fact ice.
Sweet. I had an Eastman Sidejack baritone before and I regret getting rid of it. :-( I had a pacemaker put in and I thought the magnets would mess with it. Turns out they don't.
Nothing perfect on my channel as I am trying to get back my coordination after many surgeries. The pacemaker is but the tip of the iceberg. Had my whole neck fused front and back also. Lost a lot of coordination from that. Almost was paralyzed.
@@chrisw5742 it is actually 24 frets. The listing says 22 but you can look at the picture and count. It is 24 frets. I usually prefer 24 frets as well. 🤘🏻
Try out the Schecter solo evil twin Mine ranks up there with my esp standards and e2. Blows the Gibson les Paul modern out the water. Which I like Gibson. Still have a few
Thats awesome, bro. My buddy has been thinking about getting a schecter baritone solo but we'll see if he gets it or not. I have a schecter E-1 and that guitar is rock solid. Its the only explorer I have but it is the only one I need...
@@MetalGuitarGuy thanks dude. Im mainly refering to Jackson in general. I know there are options out there, but itd be nice to have some cooler options
@@hoofhearted6900 I admit headstocks make it or break it for me on guitars too. I do love their reverse 7 in line headstock design though. They should’ve used it here…
@@MetalGuitarGuy They forget this isn't fully mixed and mastered and mainly demo'ing. I'm sure the final product will be awesome. You already know to take comments on YT with a grain of salt. Keep it up man! I really enjoyed this video.
