Sooooooo very sad to this great band who are now a mere shadow of their former glory. I stopped watching this video after ten minutes as it became too difficult to watch Brian and Angus try their best to recreate AC/DC.
Mostly Bon era which is the best DC - Flat Cap has mliked a living from Bon's passing - DC should've called it a day after Back in Black because lets face it that was the last decent DC album.
A friend introduced me to AC/DC with 'Riff Raff' while we were cruising in his Mazda 280Z back in the day. I was shocked by what I was listening to. Ah memories.
Brian Johnson, when he played in Geordie band in his time, the songs were much better than in the AC\DC. Here they have aged significantly, they are not the same enthusiast and perception, just a reputation, but nothing remains of their former glory, the years of youth have flown by and run away. I'd rather listen and re-listen to Geordie, than wasted years with AC\DC. Yes, I like it Back In Black Album, may be some others else, but find the fullness of superiority, skill and talent within the AC\DC you can’t find here, I already said, years thrown into the trash.
Angus must have a core of steel. He bounced around like a pinball for 2 hours with heavy guitars while hitting every note dead on. I'm 30 and I doubt I could do as much exercise as he did.
Thank you SO much for this! Do you have the original, unedited video files (or maybe even a Blu Ray)? Would you be willing to share it with me? I could trade if you wish :)
I was there yesterday, and trust me, it was far better than the Power Trip. Bryan was much more energetic on stage compared to California last year! They interacted with Angus far more often than in their previous shows. Bryan’s breath control has improved significantly. Angus nailed every song, unlike the slip-up with the Thunderstruck intro previously. With each show, they are getting better and better.
I don't know if it's because of the sound recording or if the sound engineer was asleep. Brian has to really try to keep up with that. I think Brian is great but unfortunately the sound isn't as well coordinated....And Brian's (text)monitor is right next to the fan that blows like crazy. If you stand in front of it the whole time in the draft, it's definitely not good for your voice. But Brian does his best.
The guitar tone on rock or bust sounds very close to the original I love how acdc always played at studio quality live I know about Powertrip that the guitars didn’t sound to well I thought angus sounded fine I was more worried about Stevie’s but I’m glad they are back and I hope to meet them Angus is my biggest hero of all time and Malcolm and Stevie are my rhythm heroes and Cliff is my bass hero and Brian and Bon are My vocal hero’s while Phil and Chris are my drum heroes
Geordie's cover of "House of the Rising Sun" is my personal favorite Geordie song and also my favorite cover of the song itself. Brian really showed his range in that song. At times, buttery smooth, other times, an "AC/DC voice". Vic Malcolm's solo is just ridiculously good!
Sweet! I didn't realize they were still performing. I saw NP back 21 years ago in Atlanta, GA, and they blew the walls down. Nice to see they're still laying waste to stages worldwide!
