Gardening - Grow your own fruits & vedge - Cottage garden - Tips - Wildlife - Growing Zone 8b - Europe
Welcome to my garden! My name is Linda, I am a wildlife photographer with a passion for gardening. I have been gardening since early childhood. I have a small 90m2 garden in the Netherlands, but it is my dream to own a big piece of land with a cottage garden, a large vedgetable garden, orchard, wildflower meadow & forest for wildlife. On this channel I will show you my garden all year round and will give you gardening tips about pruning, planting, sowing, growing your own fruits & vegde. I will show you my successes as well as may failures. Happy gardening! With love, Linda
Dear Linda, it's always a pleasure to look at your garden. I hope you're both well and hope to see you again soon in one of your videos. The hellebores are stunning. Thanks
Well…wow! Such a great idea! I did not know actually we can feed birds with animal fat, I was thinking if can replace it with coconut oil, but probably lard is better. And the only one thing is it doesn’t suit in summer. So how do we feed them in summer? Really loved your channel ❤❤
Do you leave potted young plants outside in that box all winter? We can get below zero and have snow, so am I better off sowing indoors in early spring? I have limited space and want to grow other flowers too - Cosmos, Zinnia, Cloeome, misc collected flower seeds. (Love your rounded green bushes in the background, what are they? I want some sculptural plants like that!!!) Thank you!
I've ordered Forget-Me-Not seeds three times from different sellers on Amazon, and they all turned out to be fake. Could you please tell me where I can buy genuine seeds?
@@theladygardener thank you so much for taking the time to reply. I appreciate it. Unfortunately I live in St. Kitts & Nevis so no chance of getting the pots but will look for something similar. Thank you once again. P.S I REALLY enjoy your videos and gardening style. I am always inspired. Looking forward to seeing more.
Your garden inspired me very much. I love your simple yet beautiful garden. I am going to copy cat your white flower bed plus your round box wood at my new house I will be moving soon. I watched many times. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing your garden with us on Danielle’s channel…you have a lovely garden! I especially love the terracotta pots! I am a big fan of container gardening as well! Looking forward to binge watching all of your videos today! 💜🌸🌷💜
Also here from seeing you on North Flower Farm. I love your garden palette with lots of white flowers some of which are shaded with yellow, peach and pink. I used a similar palette in my garden. It’s peaceful, simple. White muscari is adorbs. I look forward to the rest of your gardening.
I can't remember the variety of the box, I have them almost 18 years. I grow different varieties of strawberries but my favourite are mara du bois and magnum
Happy Spring from London UK dear Linda 😃 I have just joined your channel after watching your beautiful video on Danielle's channel and loved the variety of plants that your are growing in your garden. You Dahlias are really beautiful and have inspired to add a few in my garden. I adore Daffodils and did not know about the "Petit Four" variety that I will try to get this autumn. I do hope that you are growing "The Lady Gardener" rose from David Austin as it will be perfect for you 💚
Thank you so much and welcome to my channel 🙏😊🌺🌸🌷 I'm glad it gave you some inspiration. That rose is definitely on my wish list, but I haven't found it here yet 🌸
I love your daffodil and tulip collection. The combination is gorgeous and harmonious too. Daffodil Petit Four and Manly are so pretty. I'll try to get a polytunnel for seed sowing. TY very much! Looking forward to your summer displays :)
I always love your videos, I also watched your joint one with Danielle. I love the pastel colours you choose. I made a mistake in only planting early daffodils, so will try some of your suggestions next year. I have also started to use your tip of reusing plastic pots inside terracotta pots 😊😊😊.
Really wonderful.😍 Please, where do you buy your Helleborus? It happens from time to time that I am in Holland shopping at garden centers for my own garden in Denmark 💚
Thank you 🙏😊 I bought most of them at Bastin nurseries (bastin.nl) Once a year they have a hellebores weekend (end february/beginning of march) I'm not sure which and how many varieties they have during the rest of the year. Here's a link to the video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8-hbpBNs3p4.html

Lovely video, hellebores are always looked forward to here in winter as well. I have seen Anna’s Red in Melbourne but not some of the others. Those double yellows are gorgeous!
Thank you so much, I'm glad you enjoyed it 🙏😊 I love hellebores, especially the double varieties, but not many garden centers sell them. Can you grow them in Australia or is it too hot?
we can grow them in the southern parts of east Australia where Melbourne is, otherwise too hot. I’m lucky because we have a mild winter day average around 12-16 c but frosts are almost non existent these days ( I’m 64 and we definitely had frost when I was young). I was also interested to hear your tulips only lasted a few seasons, I have the same problem and they are expensive here . I thought it was because we don’t freeze in Melbourne but maybe it’s not. Someone told me Darwin variety’s last much longer into other years 😊
