Great question. Kansas City is known for its diverse and welcoming community, in my experience. Neighborhoods across the city celebrate diversity, with many local businesses and schools promoting inclusive policies and programs. However, as with any location, experiences can vary, and I recommend connecting with local LGBTQ+ organizations or community groups who can provide specific insights and share experiences about living in the metro area. This can give you a better understanding of the community dynamics and support available to see if Overland Park is a good fit for your family. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Summit Waves & The Bay are my favorites because they allow you to bring a cooler, just no glass! I just recently realized Summit Waves has a wave pool.🤦🏾♀️ I bisited multiple times before walking by it😅
OH wow. I didn't know they allow coolers. That's awesome and very unique indeed. Thanks for letting me know about that. And, the wave pool is also great to let people know about. My kids have loved wave pools, so it's certainly a great feature to add. Thanks for that.
I hope you enjoy Blue Springs. It truly is a hidden gem in my opinion. While people know about it, I don't think people realize all the perks and great things about this city. Thanks for watching.
I appreciate your opinion, however I have to disagree. There are many opportunities for employment. Case in point, I had a recent client move here from Las Vegas. They loved the area and decided to just take a shot and within 2 weeks, both had jobs and they were able to purchase a home off of that income. Also, there are multiple headquarters here. Hallmark, Cerner, Sprint. and soon to be a large base for Meta and Google. If those don't appeal, there are development plans in and around Lenexa, etc. I would have to disagree with your assessment. I do hope you find something if you are looking
I’ve lived here most of my life and worked in IT for over 20 years. Cost of living is lower than a lot of other states, and depending on where you work, pay can be pretty good. I’ve lived over seas when I was younger and lived and visited other states as well, so I can comment on cost of living comparisons. KC is growing and there are a lot of things to see and do. The parts that have the farmland would be western KS.
Absolutely. I'd love to help. First step is consultation so I can get to know your goals, etc. You can either call me at the number in my description, or set up a time to meet for a consultation with the calendar link. Looking forward to it.

My opinion that would have happened whereever the parade was held. So, I don't think it happened because of the location. I didn't hear about the others. Thanks for that. My downtown friends love living there. And, in fact, two of my friends have stated they don't think they will ever leave the area. They are business professionals and love it.
The crime is bad around there tho. There was just a shooting in the power and light district the other night and many more in Westport. There’s only about 10,000 people living in the central business district and 30k in the greater downtown area. Smaller than leawood kansas actually !
Yes. It' is just a tad smaller than Leawood. I love Leawood, btw. And, yes, people can go to crimereports.com and see more information about that. I've asked my friends who live downtown about how they feel and they love it. I have several who live in the business district and then more who live in the crossroads and noone seems to have huge concerns. i hope the south loop project coming will continue to give the downtown a positive spotlight.

Very cool! I was in Gladstone the other day and love the Penguin park, probably near where you grew up. And, I love Liberty! My daughter went to a softball camp at William Jewel. She was sooooo discouraged and ready to quit but we gave softball one last shot and went to their camp and the players and staff there revolutionized her mindset and now she pitches in college. The people make great communities for sure.
There’s more jobs around college boulevard around the old sprint campus than downtown kcmo. Plus kcmo has a terrible shooting and crime problem now. Downtown Overland Park is pretty walkable. Basically the entire KC metro area is unwalkable tho. Great video
Thank you. I agree. It is pretty difficult to claim our city as walkable overall in the metro. I'm glad the streetcar downtown is expanding, so that's good. Thanks for watching and thanks for your comments. I always love reading what people experience around the metro.
Please do not move here!!!! There are already too many people and it is absolutely a nightmare!!!! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! Raymore was perfect in the 70's and 80's!!! This small town has turned into trash and violence!!
I have lots of relatives born and raised in Kansas City. Seems to be a place many people stay, or at least in the surrounding areas. I'm sure Grandview looks a lot different from when you lived there. Lots of additions.
