You need to get a 4 wheel beach cart. They have rod holders and a basket for your tackle boxes, coolers, and chairs. Be comfortable and relaxed, my homies.
I don't keep any fish I catch any more.they sell catfish at the Italian market in South Philly from the skukill river and plenty of people buy them even though you should not eat them.
I've fished the river all my life and when cats are around no white perch hit and vice versa it seems.im surprised no blue or flathead cats hit your bait.philly cops are generally arrogant and have an attitude, not surprising with what they have to deal with.atleast they didn't pick your line up with his engine ill say it they can be jerks.you did much better today than you did at neshaminy falls.you should go back there early or late in the day, there's some big mean smallmouths up there that love to hit tubes.green or brown pumpkinseed work best.
I have caught creek chubs all my life and have kept them for pets in my tank (They are NOT community fish! If it fits, it's food for them.). I guess I'll have to try them on the plate.
I have used the pink laundry Zote Soap .......its soft, goes on the hook . It works on my trotline and limb lines. Channel catfish are the only catfish i caught with it.
We catch lots of catfish in the river, there's lots of white perch to . surprising amount of medium stripers.i saw a game warden who said there's getting to be too many little stripers in the river.
