I have the black vinyl and it's unlistenable for me, I can't concentrate on the music with all the noise and the master is so loud which means there's no dynamics what so ever. it's not a myth there must be just alot of bad pressings out there. I've actually turned it off to listened to Spotify blasphemy
I got my Deluxe Edition of this album a day ago (2/20), which comes with an audio tape that contains 3/4 of a second from one their songs (between Kid-A & In Rainbows). This pressing pretty much solved the noise problem that I had with the regular black edition that I bought before.
Is it just me or You too have problems with crackling sound with this album. I have white version and it sounds wrong. It is not problem with my deck cause other lps plays clear and smooth... It was a gift, so I can't give it back.
seems to me that some of the none uk white vinyl does not come with inserts and posters etc....I didn't open my white vinyl....just bought the black one too lol

a close up picture revealed one of the two bonus tracks to be Spectre and the other might be a song called B-Word. Those will be included in the special edition case bound version (probably black vinyl) and the 2 bonus tracks are not on the vinyl, just on a separate CD (idk why they didn't just include it on the MSP cd that comes with the box, but whatever)
@@luuucycn192 That's really freaky because not even 2 hours ago I was listening to Ill Wind thinking "this really is one of the better songs from the MSP sessions. Not the most likely Radiohead song to discuss, let alone the same day I was thinking about it. Anyway, thanks for letting me know.
@@tylerskiss Here's a suggestion: Listen to AMSP as a whole - but with Ill Wind between Desert Island Disk and Ful Stop. It works so damn well, I'm shocked that they actually didn't do it.
@@luuucycn192 Thanks. I will certainly give it a try. Have you heard the song Thom does with Mark Pritchard - Beautiful People? I include it on my MSP playlist, so I've sort of incorporated it into the album. I think it works.
Mine has crazy clicks and surface noise. Tried it on two turntables and the clicks are localized specifically to the Left tweeter. Renderst he whole thing unlistenable.... for the entire songs Decks Dark, Desert Island Disk, Present tense, and The numbers. bummer
hey yeah, the white vinyl records also have a very subtle marbling on them as well when they are held up to the light. I did not notice this before. as far as i know they all come in white only. cheers
Absolute myth, I have this in white vinyl and a large collection of other colored vinyls, transparent and opaque. They all sound just as good if not better than my standard black pressings.
No that means there's no difference. They're pressed the exact same just with added dye, anybody that claims the two are any different fundamentally doesn't know what they're talking about
thenoodleshop it’s a myth. People try to say it’s due to the dye, but black vinyl is dyed black so that doesn’t make sense. Good and bad pressings exist in every color including black. Glow in the dark, picture discs, and some other gimmicky ones doo tend to sound bad though.
