If you make it out to the big island, the east side of the island about 20ft down in early spring is good for trout and kokanee. The shore along spanish flats is good for trout about 40 yards out. The narrows are also good for trout.

DANG! A day late to the party! I'm Gel Ass! I've heard char (Bull/Dolly's) don't taste very good. Maybe depending on the water. That char is a Oregon 10 pounder as one of your tribal members joked on a Addicted episode!! 😅 Beautiful scenery. Would love to toss a Fly or a Spoon there!! Great video!! Peace 🕊️☮️♾️😎

I saw that cork floating in the bottle. One of you forgot the corkscrew didn't you? Been there many times, and you cooked mussels just the way I like them. That goes for the fish as well, what was it by the way, you told us what it wasn't. How did you kill it? Is there any ritual around the killing and cooking of wild food? I thoroughly enjoyed this documentary and particularly liked the way you compared your life to the cycle of a salmon, leaving home in order to return to it. Thank you for sharing.

Words cannot express how shook i was when my scuba instructor pulled something out of his pocket and i had to guess what it was when i surfaced. Cherry tomatoes look weirdly like olives 30m down.

They went through this when I was doing my Advanced Open Water SCUBA cert. We had a hard plastic square thing with a bunch of necessary info, and one of the things on there was a group of color swatches to see at various depths up to 120 ft.

Ashley, your work on the documentary about the Quinault Indian Nation is nothing short of extraordinary. You have crafted a beautiful tribute to the history, culture, and resilience of your people, bringing their story to life with such depth and reverence. The way you have captured the spirit of the Quinault Nation-its members, its lands, and its enduring commitment to conservation-speaks volumes about your dedication and love for your heritage. Your narration was not just informative; it was a heartfelt connection that guided viewers through the rich tapestry of your tribe's past and present. The visuals were stunning, capturing the raw beauty of the Olympic Peninsula and the sacred lands that your people have protected for generations. You honored your ancestors and community with a film that not only educates but also inspires. This documentary is a gift, a powerful reminder of the strength and wisdom of the Quinault Nation. Your efforts have ensured that this story will be shared and remembered, not just within your community, but by all who are fortunate enough to experience it. Thank you for your incredible work and for honoring your people so beautifully.

I would like to see the creeks & rivers produce quite a bit more salmon & and steelhead in the areas of the tribe fisheries and not be crowded shoulder to shoulder on the rivers.

I really want to do this and cook it right there after I pull the kayak out of the water. I watched another video of a guy doing this and he made a comment that you don't want to have the line across your body because you could become tangled in the line if you rolled the kayak. ...something to be cautious about for sure. Very inspiring video though!! Great work!! New sub

Wow, you really managed to pack a lot into 21 minutes! We get a beautiful, brief view of the Quinault Nation and some of the people. Time to open up a can of Quinault Pride smoked salmon and crackers. I think this was my favorite of all of your videos, Ash. Happy trails!

This was a really well-done video. I love the history lesson and her passion for being an angler. There is some good fish down here in Oregon. One of my best friends and brothers who I served with in the Army is a guide on the rogue. His name is Tyler Gordon, and as he says, he will put you on the fish, but he can't catch em for you. If you are ever down in our neck of the woods (Grants Pass), give him a call during the steelhead run, and you will tag out on some hogs. Tell him Chaddy sent you and bring Tater with you. Sorry if i spelled his name wrong. I think I found a new favorite channel.
