Great talk, I always thought of branding and creative design tasks in top down approaches and even demised bottom up approach, thinking they were hollow and soulless. It he’s right when it comes to the consumers, the bottom is what they experience the most, and the top ideologies are consumed rarely, so maybe it is beneficial to do things bottom up sometimes. But I think we need a balance here, maybe a team to think bottom up and another to think top down, and meet in the middle. This make sure you come up with ideologies that are substantially created and thought thru thoroughly, but also having the freedom to think from consumer perspective.

hi, i'm italian and i bought this phone. I am very disappointed and sad because it is slow and the touch does not work, you do not hear the ringtone and it always crashes. Now I don't understand if my phone is broken or everyone is like that. If they are all like this, this phone shouldn't have been on the market. Greetings from Italy

Really love the brand idea and positioning and I gathered a lot of value from this interview but what really annoys me is their ignorance towards few specific things. At 29:24 she was conveying a point about "Conventional brands" operations and says "Mostly white men in suits" which is absolutely wrong to say (I am not white btw) what there brand really do is empower women and kill the stereotype around them of being weak and instead give them a place and community to make them feel better and know their worth which is amazing but they are using "White Men" stereotype to kill another stereotype which goes completely against their idea. I mean it's kind of dumb to just say that because not all men are like that and this is the side of toxic feminism that I personally cannot ever resonate with because they are just blaming one thing to kill another where in fact they should deal with both situations and call out the people specifically instead of categorising every men into one Box.
