you gotta remember theater actors are playing for people on a stage. They need be more exaggerated so even the people way in the back can see whats happening. Also movies have the benefit of multiple takes editing etc..
I've seen the film 5 times and EVERY SINGLE TIME I cry uncontrollably... It's worse now because I'm expecting the lines to come and I'm think, I won't cry, THEN BAM....I can't say how much I love the movie
Looks like this hit everyone elses suggested videos too! Seeing this, it really makes sense why they waited so long to make it a movie. They really needed someone who could fully empathize the part of Charlie to make the movie hit the deep heartstrings that it did.
The movie is much more religious than you think. First of all, easy on the homophobic remarks, you are from a different time I guess, you still got some good time left, shouldn't use it hating, but critically thinking And, in the movie, there are themes of people like the gay boyfriend of Charlie who killed himself still NEEDING god in his life, and Charlie saying to him that he doesn't need God is what eventually drives him to kill himself The attacks in this movie are against cults that strain the freedom of their members, stripping them from their personality and interests, not only sexual ones but many others. Re watch it while you still can, open your heart to the individual lives of characters, and you'll find out it is actually a much more religious and moodlifting movie than it seems.
@@Dvorak567 no, they actually shouldn't. No human being should ever be 500lbs, it's so far beyond being "thicc" and a 500lb person literally would not be able to work as an actor on stage or screen, it's too physically demanding.
I saw this in October and November of 2012 and it changed my life. Listening to this let me hear it with the voices I first heard again. Im so happy thank you.
