Hi Sally! You could call your planters “Piss Pots”! I don’t know about other countries, but in Australia a piss pot is someone who drinks too much alcohol.
Oh my goodness, your planters are so funny!😂 Love them so much, I’ll have to make some. I love your glaze combinations. Way back, my go to glaze was opulence Seaspray and I guess I had forgotten about it, well I just got some and will be using it. I remember that it looks great on dark clay also. The color gets brighter. Have a great Summer Sally and thanks for sharing!❤
Love the planters, I laughed when you put water in it, LOL. I have a long, skinny diamond bit for my dremel that would work on the closed part. They also sell diamond DRILL bits for the dremel, which is actually what I would try first. The spiral of the drill bit mixed with the diamond coating would be key. Good luck! Somehow let us know if you could fix them.
Thank you Sally, it looks like a great tool. I just contacted him about my specific wheel. He said he'll be making one for my brand of wheel very soon and will let me know. Looking forward to it!
Hello Sally! I was so happy to see you ! I’ve been wondering how your recovery has been going. I notice a small limp when you move to the kiln and back. You are your usually chipper self nonetheless. You are the best at explaining all you glaze combos. I was in Canada a few weeks back, and it was only about 55 f. I was near Quebec though. No matter what though it will be better than the Jamaica hot season. My aunt in mandeville was tellin* us about the rain rain rain! The streets and stores were flooded! I liv3 in Massachusetts, do we are in a very pleasant springlike temps. Our flowers are in bloom, and it so lovely. So with all that chatter, I will miss you kiln openings,, and your friendly online presence. I’m sure you and r husband will have a great time of visiting and hopefully some relaxing time with your kids. Stay well
Sally--- By this time your show will be over, and you'll be returning to your studio with $J in your pockets. I enjoy your style and appreciate your dedication to the art form. I've been playing with clay since HS and find that it sooths the soul. Continued success and happiness as you bury your hands in clay. P.S. No need to explain how dreadful the heat is--- I'm 600 miles north in South Florida! --Pam
We all understand, heavens, Sally! You just had surgery!! There are several of us potters recuperating from a variety of health issues. As Tiffinie (my mentor/teacher) mentioned in one of her videos, I fell and broke my back in a couple places, and I have to rest when I get dizzy, and just in general for now. So, in lieu of creating I’m watching all of you other potters that I love so much! Those peeing planters! How fun!!! 😂🤩😍. Beautiful pieces! Again, take care of yourself! Love your work and videos! ❤️
Nice pieces, gorgeous glazing. I hope your summer holidays are fun, and your show go well. Are you OK?? Concerning as you didn't come back on after you needed a break. Take care
Lovely to see you Sally and have a great summer, I hope you sell all your pieces in the sale your going to. What a wonderful idea with the glasses cup and the planters are very cute, they will definitely sell 💚
Dremol drill has a bit like a little cone, I usually use to open the holes when it is close with glaze, the bit is very fine I hope that works for you. I live in Vancouver BC Hope you have a wonderful summer with your children 🤗
Sally, no need to apologize for taking care of yourself! Heat stroke is no joke. Your planters, on the other hand, are a wonderful joke! I grinned like a schoolgirl. Enjoy your trip and your summer.

Love your videos! My last two kiln unload videos were outside and I think you could actually see me melting before your eyes. It’s 96 degrees today in South Florida. Dangerously hot. Take care and thanks for sharing!
